Received NOA receipt, it doesn't say I need to do biometrics.

Hi all,

I received my NOA today and this is what it said:

"The above application has been received by our office and is in process. Our records indicate that your personal information is as follows:

Date of birth: XX/XX/XXX

Adress Where You Live: 123 XYZ St.

City, State ZIP

Please verify your personal information listed above and immediately notify our office at the address or phone number listed below if there are any changes.

You will be notified of the date and place of your interview when you have been scheduled by the local INS office. You should expect to be notified with 730 days of this notice."

How come it doesn't say I need to do biometrics? Or should I wait for another notice stating I need to schedule one? I remember when I did my AOS, I received a letter stating I need to call a certain number and there was an ASC code, etc.

Thanks in advance!

The fingerprint letter is generated about one week after your first NOA.

Thanks meauxna! I'll wait for that letter. I wish I can just walk-in for my biometrics instead of scheduling it. I remember the last time I did my biometrics, the guy in the reception didn't even ask for the confirmation number the operator gave me, nor verified my name on some list to make sure I'm coming in for my appointment. I wanted to try walk-in but we live like 3 hours away from the Charlotte ASC *sigh*

It was quite a palather with the check in for the DAH's fingerprint appt. Had to have the letter, green card and other ID. Had to fill in a checklist with all that info and hand it over to the guard. Segregated seating sections--all very very.

Turns out it's not USCIS that runs our ASC office; it's a private contractor.

YMMV

:o

I can't say that's good to know, but thanks for the info. To think that our information is out there in the hands of non-USCIS people. I'm getting paranoid by the day, hubby was *almost* a victim of identity theft.

First, lemme get it straight - it's fingerprinting NOT biometrics :D . Anyway, my husband insisted on the idea of walking in today for my fingerprinting instead of going to our May 9 appt as stated on the NOA, he couldn't take a day off next week (or at least it would be tough to do so), plus our daughter has chicken pox eventhough she had the vaccines before coming here. I was afraid I was gonna get it too, so rescheduling the fingerprinting appointment would be moot because I wouldn't know when to reschedule it in case I contract the virus. So anyway, since he's driving the 6 hour stretch both ways, I didn't mind. It was HIS idea.

I figured if they won't allow me to do it today, we just waste time and gas, but if they do take my prints today then it'll be great :)

So they did, and I thanked my hubby for pushing the idea.
