I emailed CSC to inquire about my petition yesterday and this is the response I got:

The California Service Center is currently processing I-129F Petitions receipted February 3, 2006. Your was petition was received February 8, 2006 it will be pulled for processing within the next couple of weeks.

Please allow 45 days for this processing to occur.

Thanks,

McClellan, CAO

Division XII, Customer Service

Should I honestly expect 45 more days of waiting? Lots of people on VJ are already getting NOA2s who have similar NOA1 dates... In case anyone else wants to email and check their case status, this is the address I used:

CSC-XII.129f@dhs.gov

At least they respond quickly to emails! (I wish they would do that with processing as well!)

You have to remember that a lot of the responses from the service centres are "standard" replies and they always give the worst case scenario, so that people don't write back over and over again too soon. Just don't take their timelines too seriously.... they are only guides.

It probably will not take 45 days, but that's the maximum amount of time it could take.

I know it's hard waiting, but just try and be patient.... your approval will come soon!!!

Good luck and best wishes to you both.

Pim and I filed Jan 30th at the CSC and after the initial NOA1 have not heard a word. No touch, either! Yes, I too have seen other members with a NOA2 that was filed after ours. I also have read reports of members receiving their NOA2's in the mail, without ever getting Email notification! Who knows how the CSC operates??? All we can do is hope......
