Mexican lawmakers issued a declaration of support for immigrant protests planned in the United States on Monday and said they will send a delegation to Los Angeles to show their solidarity.

"The only thing we are looking for is to end this dehumanizing situation and get the recognition of the migrant labor force," Federal Deputy Maria Garcia said. "People who go looking for work should not be treated like criminals with the risk of being tried in federal courts."

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

90% of the Democrats in this country support the illegals here and want amnesty and are against laws to curb all of this.

About 30% of Republicans agree.

Yet a vast majority of Americans are fed up and want massive change. Will the politicians listen. No way in hell.

Cheap votes vs. cheap labor. Different political parties...same old sh*t.

Just remember who has majorities in both the House and Senate, plus a sitting President. And I'm not stating this as a registered Republican or Democrat (I'm an independent voter). I'm looking at who does what rather than party affiliation. And I'm looking real hard at what my House Rep and 2 Senators are doing...now.

Just remember that on Bush's watch this problem has worstened and it was no accident.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

Will my grass get cut on May 1st? That's all I'm worried about.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt
