My question is our packet sat 62 days with nothing. i called and tried the RFE trick, the woman on the other end was anything but helpful saying she could say anything because the system is backed up, i had asked why the recording said i needed to send more info. the next thing i know we were touched. the question is was the packet physically touched and not behind a desk , or does a CSC person inputing the receipt number into the system generated a touch? my worry is the packet fell behind a desk.

You're worried after 62 days? You need to go look at the immigration timelines link on the top of the page. Look at your fellow filers at CSC. Get an idea of how long you should expect to wait. Hint: 62 days is, at the very least, about 1/2 your wait.

Yup, take a look at our timeline below. It was more than 40 days till we got NOA1 and nearly 140 days till NOA2. Don't worry about touches. We had a touch at NOA1, then a touch the day it was approved.

I doubt your petition was physically touched, but only looked up in the computer system. The touch no doubt came because you called, but they aren't going to do anything yet. There is still all of november, December and parts of July, august and september in line ahead of you.

Saying 62 days is half the wait for CSC is pretty optimistic there Mox! ;)

Yeah, it's probably closer to 1/3. Processing times do seem to be getting better though, so there may be a little hope for optimism.
