Hello everyone we are also march filers. We received an NOA today. I am a little concerned though because we did not send 6 photos. I guess we will have to see. One question though, can my husband travel after he receives this GC or do we have to apply for a travel doc. Is that mandatory to travel out of the country?

Thanks

If he will need to travel out of the country before he gets his Greencard then he needs to apply for the travel document (I-131). It is free to do so if you file it concurrently with your AOS (this can be done after you receive your NOA, just attach a copy of your NOA for the I-485 to your package for the I-131). It's really nice to have it in case of an emergency or something. Besides, it's free! Can't hurt :)

After he gets his greencard he can travel at will as long as he is not gone for too long. He still has to reside in the US obviously or the Greencard is void :P.

Thanks. We will because it is free. I was just a bit concerned that there needed to be a valid reason for travel and in fact it ask for that on the application. I wasn't sure what to put because as of today there is no emergency but we should just in case. I guess we will file for it. Thanks again.

Hello Fellow March Filers! Just wanted to report in that our check was cashed today!!! YAY!!!! we are on our way......come on EAD!!!!

quick question...I read several posts that people included passport photos for both the foreign spouse and the US citizen??? We only included photos of my husband (the foreign spouse), I did not read anywhere that I, as the USC, needed to include pictures of myself....did I miss something?

Here's hoping that this leg of the journey is smooth and quick!

So since we are a K-1 Visa we did not have to file the I130......right??? I mean, we didn't file it, but we weren't supposed to, right?? We only filed the I485, I765, I131 and the G325 (the AOS, EAD, AP and Biographical pages)

*having a panic moment of self-doubt*
