I deffinitely will be here till the end, but propably not as much, chances of all of us having the same work scheduale is slim ;)

I do agree nana that when we are actually working we won't be able to post as much as we used to but I will still be here though. :) Anyway, you are doing what you should do and I am doing just the same. I have been posting my resume online and since I posted it I have been receiving emails from employers but I am currently weighing things out and still continue to do my search until i finally get the job that I want. I have received my credential evaluation report from WES and currently compiling all the documents needed for admission in the nursing program and hopefully will be able to start going to school this fall. There are a lot of beautiful things in store for us all and we just have to take it in stride and enjoy the journey as we go along. I would like to wish everybody the best of everything as we continue to trudge the road to success. Wishing you all eternal love, good health, prosperity and more success in life!

By looking at the feb filers, i dont thing i will receive my ead till about the twenty-something of this month, i doubt I will be transfered since I filed the I-130 and the I-485 seperately.

But thats OK, I have been practicing my typing trying to get to 35-40 words per minute, and I am will be taking a first aid cpr class, and I finished dental assisting school.

So iam trying to not be negative and just take all this extra time to build up a resume

What are somethings that you guys have done to be competitive in the work search?? any ideas will be appreciated

Nana, what program are you currently using to learn typing? I am using MAVIS BEACON TEACHES TYPING 8. I got this CD for cheap ($1 usd) in a resale store and when I started to try it lately I find it very useful. Also, I used a lot of other helpful stuff that's easily accessible online. Anyway, good luck to you and wish you could beat that goal and be able to type even faster. :thumbs:

Sent in wife's AOS package to chicago 3/29, it was signed by CHYBA on 3/31, but the checks have not been cashed and have not recieved NOA. I wouldn't mind waiting if they would just aknowledge they recieved the package and are are working on it.

Would I be able to get any info by calling?

Don't you worry. The AOS package has been received, now it is when the waiting period starts. Some people get their checks cashed withing a few days others wait a little bit longer. The same with the NOA's. You are still within a normal frame of time, just relax, you will be getting news very soon. GOOD LUCK!!! :thumbs:

Have any of you guys who got EAD approved start job hunting yet??........My interest is in the accounting field I send a couple resume online....I found the PERFECT!! job that I want with a renown marketing company as an acounting executive!!...the pay is awesome!! they called me yesturday, but I told them I havent received my work card yet....they said to call as soon as I get my card to set up an interview because I'm exactly what they are looking for!!...Im not gonna keep my hopes up on that one Im gonna keep searching!!! mama always say: "never put all your eggs in one basket"

WOWOWOW!!! I missed the action!!! Anyways i would like to express my warm thanks and congratulations to all March Filers!!! I can't wait to see my EAD Card!!! What's next??? Interview for AOS? Well i am also hoping they will give me the 10 Yr Green Card since we've been married since May 2005.

I have started already, I'm a Graphic Designer and I also used to work as a University Lecturer, but unfortunately I need the EAD in hand but also a driver's license and therefor a car. No vehicle no job :crying:

Today I found a perfect job but it was 45 minutes away... However I have been sending my resume to a few places... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hopefully we are gonna be getting something soon! I miss my job in England sooo much!

Have any of you guys who got EAD approved start job hunting yet??........My interest is in the accounting field I send a couple resume online....I found the PERFECT!! job that I want with a renown marketing company as an acounting executive!!...the pay is awesome!! they called me yesturday, but I told them I havent received my work card yet....they said to call as soon as I get my card to set up an interview because I'm exactly what they are looking for!!...Im not gonna keep my hopes up on that one Im gonna keep searching!!! mama always say: "never put all your eggs in one basket"

I've been doing my homework while waiting for the actual work card. Back in the Philippines, I used to hold a technical position in a prestigious national government agency. So, I would like to get a federal job however this wouldn't be possible since most government jobs require U. S citizenship. Most likely, I want a job that has something to do with administrative support. I used to work with high-ranking government officials back in my country so something like admin support to top executives would be challenging. Apparently, I continue to send out resumes to prospective employers and so far I've received quite a few job offers but I still want to keep on searching for a company where my skills are effectively utilized. In time, we will end up into something we enjoy doing and most importantly will provide as with the opportunity to flourish and will bring the best within us. Good luck to our search!
