Hmmm.... mine same....

I can tell your time line changed Elmira due to the RFE. Well, let's just hope for the best like we always do. It is becoming more stressful and at the same time extremely exciting since we are getting closer in line. Even how much we wanted to make it come sooner, everything has its own time and all we can do is wait, wait and wait.

Why is that?

I've been so used to working for years in my home country and with the length of time that I've been out of work I've started feeling so bored staying at home. I do feel the need to get back to work for a lot of reasons and since we are actually hinged on the approval for the EAD it only prolongs the agony. My hubby is not earning so much and that's one of the reasons why I want to get back to work and help with the bills and such. Also, right now we are just trying to make ends meet and we are both hoping that when I will be working we can live more comfortably. That's what it's all about

Yeah I was also used to working lots and lots but I don´t get bored here. I have lots of things to do all the time. Try to find something you like to keep yourself occupied Maybe some volunteer work or something

Thats exactly how I feel rosie, we can always find things to do, but I personally need that feeling of self-accomplishment. I would like to be able to run erands and got to the grocery store, to take some of that stress off my husband. He does it all, pay bills takes me and his son all around town. We realizes that the entire house hold is sitting on his shoulders. I would love to be able t work and drive so that I can fell more like a partener insted of just a consumer.

Yeah, I was trying to keep myself occupied with household routine chores & doing my homework before I start working- updating & posting resume, searching jobs online, hanging around VJ etc. But the experience of being out in a different environment, meet people, learn new things and just explore the new cultural environment is something that I look forward of doing more soon. Apparently, I just stayed home all day and the only time I can go out is when I do the laundry, check the mailbox, when my hubby gets back from work and in the weekends. I once thought of applying for a volunteer work but I am expecting for the EAD soon and it won't be practical anymore. So, that explains why I want the EAD so badly. I do appreciate your words though.

You are very right nana_356! I completely agree! That's the word- "SELF-ACCOMPLISHMENT"! Anyway, in our case I do all the finances. I keep track of the budget, pay the bills online etc. I always prepare the grocery list and go out with hubby to get it done. So, I am feeling more of a partner, though I will be completely feeling a lot better when I am earning myself.

Yeah, that's for sure. I will always be hanging around. Anyway, I forget to mention that I am also currently reviewing the DL Handbook and taking my time to do the practice tests online. That's one thing that keeps me busy while we wait for the approval. In a week or two , hopefully we can get more good news in our cases.

4-24, our case was touched for the EAD....and today, 4-25, this just in from CRIS:

"On April 25, 2008, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO

REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE

CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this

action."
