I was just wondering, do you guys know why all the transfer stuff? Why do we have to send our stuff to Chicago and then be transferred? Why can´t we just send it to CSC or wherever it was each of us sent the K1 petition to? :)

We send it to Chicago and my guess is that they separate all the different files (I-485, I-765, I-131) and send them to their specified departments. AOS being sent to MSC/NBC. Then, at the NBC the AOS is looked over and they decide whether or not you will need an interview. If you don't, they will send it to CSC, if you do, they will send it to the nearest field office to you. That is at least my understanding of the process :whistle:

Yes! I have been looking through the February AOS filers and they seem to be getting somewhere! Let's hope our turn will get here soon! I'm freaking out!

I cannot wait to get the SSN and therefor my State ID as well as the Driver's License. My hubby and I wanted to celebrate our honeymoon and get out of town for a few days but I was advised not to fly anywhere within the US because of my expired I-94 :cry:

However once I get my state ID we are planning to go to San Francisco or Chicago...

Good thing is that my hubby's family understand the situation, they were gonna treat us to plane tickets to visit them but they are coming down instead. I'm really looking forward to finally meeting them all!

Oh yes! :thumbs: I'm getting so excited seeing February filers being approved and moving forward so quickly because this could only mean we are getting closer to the line. Yes! I have been looking through the February AOS filers and they seem to be getting somewhere! Let's hope our turn will get here soon! I'm freaking out!

I cannot wait to get the SSN and therefor my State ID as well as the Driver's License. My hubby and I wanted to celebrate our honeymoon and get out of town for a few days but I was advised not to fly anywhere within the US because of my expired I-94 :cry:

However once I get my state ID we are planning to go :) to San Francisco or Chicago...

Good thing is that my hubby's family understand the situation, they were gonna treat us to plane tickets to visit them but they are coming down instead. I'm really looking forward to finally meeting them all!

Oh yes! :thumbs: I'm getting so excited seeing February filers being approved and moving forward so quickly because this could only mean we are getting closer to the line. I am anxiously looking forward to get moving with getting the state ID, driver's license, traveling and of course finally working!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us, it'll sure be nice to have the State ID, Driver's License and the EAD so we can finally get back to work. I had a wonderful job back in the UK and I really miss it!!! ;)

03-27-08 Biometrics Appointment at 2pm (Notice date: 03.11.08)

04-30-08 Received EAD "card production ordered" & AP Approval notices from CRIS (YESSSS!!!!!)

hello to all march filers..

We mailed our AOS application last March 19, 2008..and CHICAGO office received it 2 days later..

I already did my biometrics .. for now all cases are still pending...

Just want to ask those who already filed their AOS if how long does I-131 - Application for Travel Document will appear online (USCIS website).

I-485 & I-765 already appeared 2 days after my biometrics.
