We got RFE too (march 24th),after a week (april 1st) they updated our case an it was saying that they received our response to RFE and case has resumed. Our cases ( I-130,I-485,I-765 )didnt get touched while we had a RFE or after biometrics ..Hopefully all of us are going to get some touches soon..

Thank you.. it is very useful information.. because our RFE was delivered in USCIS yesterday.. so i guess we need to wait 1 week before they update our case... Oh well... nothing we can do.. anyeay.. thank you again for this comment

My husband had his biometrics appointment today.. Everything went fine! It was fast and we had a great day together afterwards

A quick update:

My AOS was touched yesterday again. No other updates. It says it is pending at the office it was transfered to and that they will let me know when a decision is made. This is the third time it is touched after the transfer to California. It was touched on the 11th, 13th and today. ( I think they work on sundays )

No touches on AP or EAD yet, even after biometrics.

Congrats to you all who had your case resumed after RFE!!! Keep the faith!

I have a problem... I am now able to veiw one (1) out af all three (3) cases online... which is the AOS this is the message that i recieved:

Current Status: Notice Returned as Undeliverable.

On April 14, 2008, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

I don't understand why that is because the last Notice I recieved from USCIS was April 11th regarding my Biometric Appointment so if my address was incorrect would I have recieved this Notice?.......as anyone got this type of message before? I will call USCIS as they noted but I am sure it's a default on their behalf because I have not moved since filing so I really dont get this!!

Not much action here elmira, my I-130 was touched on the 14th, but thats pretty much it!!

I sent AOS package via FEDEX to the Chicago address designated for private carriers on March 29. They signed for the package on March 31, but they still have not cashed the check or provided any feedback to me. Looking at other timelines it seems they should have already cashed the check or done something by now.

It seems to be different for everybody. Some lucky people can see it as soon as they get their NOAs. Others see if after biometrics (like I did) and some never get theirs online. My AP still isn't online and I'm not expecting it to ever be there .

Hi All,

So I went early to my biometrics appointment on the 2nd of May instead of the 9th. I called up USCIS to make sure that there wouldn't be any issues when I didn't attend on the 9th. They said it would be fine. Now this week I have received another Appointment Letter for the 26th of May.

Has anyone else received duplicate biometrics appointment letters?? If so did you ignore it?

Also, I received an RFE this week and sent the reply, tracking says it has arrived at Lee Summit this morning. Does receiving a RFE mean I will fall behind in the expected date of my EAD?? Does anyone know?

Also, when we receive the notification saying we are approved for the EAD are we able to take that notification (before the card comes) to Social Security to get a SS number or do we have to wait for the card?

I'm filled with questions this morning!!

And thanks to everyone who is contributing on this forum. Is it such a comfort to know others are going through the same thing and to also have a wealth of information and experience available to you. Thank you.

That sucks ...did it affect your case as it said it would or everything remains normal?? ....and here's something Im now able to veiw my other case number for the I765 and it says the samething, I'm not gonna even try calling again because it's no use I already got the letter for the Biometrics Appt so I hope there was nothing else that important.....

If it was for RFE they would have state that on the online status right??

HI my fellow March Filers......!!

I have a question??!! what's the average wait time to get an AOS interview after filing?? (married to a USC) file date March 26th arrived at Chicago Lockbox on the 28th. My husband is in the Army and will be deployed August 1st and I want to know if I would get the AOS interview b4 he goes he'll be gone for 15 months ......

Not sure if I can go to the interview without him and if I do they probably deny me on the spot!! Im worried at this point because I know he wont be here when that time comes.

Any advise will surely help....
