AOS FILERS - March 2008

Hey everyone!! happy Monday

I have a problem... I am now able to veiw one (1) out af all three (3) cases online... which is the AOS this is the message that i recieved:

Current Status: Notice Returned as Undeliverable.

On April 14, 2008, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

I don't understand why that is because the last Notice I recieved from USCIS was April 11th regarding my Biometric Appointment so if my address was incorrect would I have recieved this Notice?.......as anyone got this type of message before? I will call USCIS as they noted but I am sure it's a default on their behalf because I have not moved since filing so I really dont get this!!

That's weird! As you said, you've received previous notices and haven't moved to a new address since you filed for the AOS then it must be a mistake of some sort. Did you double check the receipt number?Is that message really meant for you or someone else? If all else fail, try calling USCIS about this matter. Hope you will get this resolve soon. That's weird! As you said, you've received previous notices and haven't moved to a new address since you filed for the AOS then it must be a mistake of some sort. yes I double and triple check the receipt number and it matched.....but I just don't understand why it is saying that!!...I tried calling USCIS about 30mins ago but after being on hold for more than 15 mins to be transfered to the top-tier i hanged up because my daughter was fussing!!but I'll try again at a later.......Im just curious as to what that Notice is all about and I was kind of suspicious because I recieved the receipt notice for the I130 and not the I485, I am gonna try calling again hopefully I'll get through faster than I did on my first attempt!!

As I understood USCIS tried to send you NOAs via snail-mail, but USPS couldn't deliver them on address you provided with... so you can check what address did you put in your application forms as probably you put wrong address... and contact to UCSIC and provide the correct address

As I understood USCIS tried to send you NOAs via snail-mail, but USPS couldn't deliver them on address you provided with... so you can check what address did you put in your application forms as probably you put wrong address... and contact to UCSIC and provide the correct address

may be you put wrong address in one application.. i am sorry but it is just my consider .. good luck

Exactly! Kinda miss hearing the news & updates coming everyday though.

Me too, I hate seeing the march fillers threads on the second page of the AOS discussion!!

It may be the post office's fault and not yours. Last year when a bunch of us were filing for the I-129f, there were a few who got the same notice online as you and it turned out that the post office delivered the mail to the wrong address and it was returned to USCIS by the people who received it in the mail. Just keep trying to get through the line (not an easy task usually) and they'll take care of things for you. Good luck!

Oh my goodness, I checked the status of our case online and the I485 has been transferred to California as of April 10th. The ead still says pending!!! This is so weird because we did not get biometrics paperwork. I'll have to go home and check the mail to see if it came today. Is it possible to not go through biometrics. We did this in Jamaica for the I129 but I thought everyone had to go through biometrics again.

We received our NOA1 for the I-485 and the I-131, but not for the I-765 -- should I be worried? It seems like they should all come in one batch....
