i sent a cover letter in with my rfe, just for fun and also to ask them to speed up the processing!

I went to the USCIS office today with an infopass to see if i could get my temp ead from my poe extended...got greeted with a big fat no! oh well, can't hurt to try i guess

Well as you said might as well try, and you did! Just like I did with the SSN, I knew I needed to wait for the EAD but it was not gonna hurt me to try my luck... Hang in there matey!

Nana (and others who got REFs for 2007 taxes),

I didn't send in my 2007 tax return (because it wasn't filed) but I did send in copies of my 2007 W2s and 1099s hoping that would be sufficient when the time came. I also included IRS transcripts (vice form copies) from 2006, 2005, and 2004. I'm curious what you DID include in the original filing, to gauge whether I'll get an RFE for 2007 return.

I know each case is different, but I feel like doing something while I'm waiting for them to cash my check.

We send 2006 papers because we didn't file for 2007 yet when we sent AOS package... so they asked to send 2007 + Karif's current employer verification letter - we didn't send this before because he didn't have job that time and just quite the previous .. so actually they asked us to send what we didn't have that time (while sending AOS package)

:wow: Wow..looks like things are moving right along for all of us! For those of you who've gotten RFE's, lets hope they're as speedy at processing as you were sending back the info! :thumbs:

We had our biometrics yesterday at 8am. (Wish they would've had walk in service like some of you others had so we could've gotten it done earlier, but oh well!) They were fast, easy and friendly..about 10 min total, so check that off of our list of things to do! :thumbs: And when we got home, we were finally able to see our AOS case online as well as a touch for the EAD.

So, Anthony_Julie, please update me on the list and I thank you in advance! :star:

K-1 Timeline:

May 31, 2007 - Mailed I-129F to Nebraska

Oct. 22, 2007 - NOA2 Hard Copy received!! No email/website update.

Nov. 16, 2007 - Paperwork found & received by NVC!

Jan. 7, 2008 - Finally got the interview date

Jan. 28, 2008 - Interview!! Approved!!!

Feb. 12, 2008 - Arrives in USA!!!

Feb. 18, 2008 - Wedding Day!!!!!!

Feb. 19, 2008 - Apply for SSN

AOS Timeline:

Mar. 12, 2008 - Packet mailed (AOS, EAD, & AP)

Mar. 12, 2008 - Husband's SSN arrives

Mar. 14, 2008 - AOS pkt was delivered at 7:52 AM & signed for by V BUSTAMANTE.

Mar. 18, 2008 - Check cashed!!

Mar. 21, 2008 - NOA's for AOS, EAD & I-131!! (Dated 3-18-08)

Mar. 31, 2008 - Can finally see AP & EAD online!!

Apr. 10, 2008 - Biometrics finished! Can finally see AOS online & EAD touch!

May 12, 2008 - Email: AP approved!!

May 14, 2008 - Email: EAD approved!!

May 16, 2008 - EAD card & AP in hand!!

Sept 19, 2008 - Interview letter - Oct. 24th - Seattle??

Oct. 21, 2008 - A Touch..WOW!! The interviewer must've put it on his/her desk!

Oct. 24, 2008 - Interview..now back to waiting!

Nov 13, 2008 - Approved! Card Production Ordered...finally!!

Nov 24, 2008 - Card arrives!!!!

called uscis today was told it cold be another 60 days and on avg its 8 weeks which is hard to believe seeing the numbers on vj

10/05/2006 filled :)

05/03/2007 interview -> AP -> hell -> AP -> 9 months of AP Hell - 2 home visits :(

01/26/2008 visa in hand with a typo :(

02/03/2008 2 weeks more of waiting.... Visa in hand...... :)

6/02/08 AP in hand

6/03/08 email EAD card mailed

6/05/08 EAD card in hand :)

7/28/08 AOS letter received

9/17/08 welcome letter email and snail mail arrive same day

9/19/08 Greencard in hand :)
