AOS FILERS - March 2008

Ok guys, it has officially been a month since the Chicago lockbox has received our application ... check still has not been cashed!!!!

Is it worth my trying to get in contact with the USCIS or perhaps even go to a regional office? Are we the only ones in this position?

We're not close behind you. I sent paperwork in (for 4) on Mar 14. Rec'd 3/16 (from USPS return receipt). To date, no checks cashed and no NOA1.

Please keep me informed of your progress and if you figure out how to find out any information. I'll do the same.

ps: I'm dealing with processing a Mom & 3 kids.

At last, received tracking and confirmation mail from USPS that my AOS and EAD package has been delivered to the Chicago lockbox. Sent my package last March 25 and it took 13 days...whoo...i was getting worried. Anyways, hope it gets faster now...

Hello, well I received a RFE today. So I'll propably send the paperwork back sometime this week. And to be honest I am not too upset about it, I want to stay positive and not to allow paperwork to upset me. I realize that there are many frustrated people, but everyone hang in there try to enjoy life, dont let this process become your life!!

So I gotta get some paper work together, Oh do you guys recommend a cover sheet for a RFE response, and if the answer is yes can someone share theirs.

And do I send the response to Lee's Summit MO, or to the chicago lock box??

There are a few other filers who are in the same situation. A little more patience and you will be fine. There are others who have waited longer than you do guys. Just hang in there. Hope things will be just fine for you all! Stay positive!

You mail the RFE back to Lee's Summit, that's according to the letter you received. No need of cover sheet, just include the original RFE letter.

Hello everyone, just got back from my biometrics here in North Dallas. Everything went smooth there. We just had trouble finding the place. It's located in kind of a street mall and we were riding in circles for a while trying to find their suite, so, because of that I got a little late (15 min), but it was all good. Treatment was nice, I just had some difficulty understanding the lady that was taking my fingerprints. She was not an american and she would speak so softly that it was really hard to understand her. We took about 20 min there and although I was late, I was promptly assisted.

I took my Bio. Appointment letter, my passport and my marriage certificate and that was all they asked from me. I forgot to take my SSN, but it was not required (although there's a field in the form that you fill there for it and the A# but this one I knew by heart). Well..that was it! Fun! Fun! Fun!
