They will take your fingerprints and photograph. I was in and out in about 40 minutes, and that was because there was 3 people ahead of me, so once you are with the person taking your prints it only takes like 10 minutes.

hey guys! has anyone had touches after their biometrics appt letter was received?? we got our letter last week for our 4/3 appt and our cases were all showing a date of 3/16 a that time, and then today both the EAD and AP were touched, now showing dates of 3/24! is this just random or could it mean something?? maybe something good like a transfer CSC???? wishful thinking?? the AOS is still showing 3/16 though.....just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any experience!

Yes I have the same experience, my AOS application was touched today, too, 3/24/2008. I received an email informing me that my papers are transferred to California??? I will have to wait for my postal mail though to make sure that it was indeed transferred to CSC. :-)

Hello again VJs,

Does any1 apply for driver license in California before he/she gets his/her green card? We went to DMV on Friday and was told to come back when my wife gets her GC. DMV can't process her application because her I-94 will expire in April. My wife showed DMV her passport, SSC, and all USCIS NOA + the BIO appointment, but enough. They want to see her GC, which she did not have.

You can apply for CA DL even without a GC. I think it just depends on the person you talk to. You will need SSN for sure and passport. I applied for one as a student before and they accepted it even without SSN.

Thanks for your input. I guess it really depends on who to talk to. In our case the supervisor told his staff to ask us to wait. Any way, there is no rush for my wife.

2008-01-31 applied for SSA

2008-02-10 Received Notice fr SSA

2008-02-10 SSC issued with 10-BD

2008-02-14 Married; will get MC within 10 BD
