Good Luck tomorrow DDKM!!! be sure to report back on your experience and the questions they asked, documents you needed, etc!

I have done a lot of searching and it seems that K-1's are transferred depending on location. At least here in Seattle, it seems very very few people are transferred. Most everyone must go through an AOS interview :( oh well, at least it is soon and we can be done with immigration for 2 years!

Congrat's to those who had their interviews or got their green cards!! I'm very happy for all of you!!:dance::dance:

I still have no RFE, no touches, no interview letter...nothing! It's getting awfully depressing over here in my neck of the woods. I feel like I have the broken down car in traffic and everyone is just passing me by.

You are not alone ... we aren't stressing too much about it though. My wife can work and re-enter the country as she pleases. So basically once we get the GC, nothing will materially change from a day-to-day standpoint.

Wow! believe it or not (I still can't!) we finally got our interview notice on Friday night!! We're scheduled for October 24th also. (Maybe we can meet teachmehistory!) Kinda sucks though..right now they won't let me off work the whole day and they are sending us to Seattle instead of Portland for the interview. Everything else has been handled in Portland (15 min from home), but it's a 3 1/2 hour drive one-way to Seattle, and my car won't make it. I'll have to borrow a family member's car or rent one, so this is working out to be a very expensive interview. I called USCIS and they said that there must be a mistake about the interview location, but they won't do anything about it.

It's somewhat of a logistical nightmare for us right now, but we'll be happy if we can get it done and over with. They said the only way to make any possible changes to the interview location, is to make an info pass appt., but doesn't that take about a month to get the appt.?

Good luck today, ddkm!

Hmm it does take a while to make an infopass appt. On top of that they're not entirely reliable to have the change trickle to whoever it needs to. And even more so you'll probably have to wait til a date becomes open at the office near you which could take even more months.

It sucks that they sent it that far but I guess it's better to bite the expense and be sure that you went to the interview than imagine all the other things that could possibly go wrong by trying to change it.

Well the interview was a piece of cake...only we didnt get in until 2pm for our 1pm interview! Such a long wait and there was nobody else there even, that was the worst of it.

The interview took 15minutes tops, the lady confirmed our details(name address dob etc), asked us how we met, took a look at some wedding photos, looked at rent bill and joint bank statement then wrapped it up and told us we were good! She didnt even look at anything else, not even my passport or EAD.

No we just wait for the greencard to come in the mail i guess, and lift conditions in just under 2 years.
