I feel sorry for you guys who havent heard anything for months, doesnt USCIS just have the worst communication skills among everything!!

We have our AOS interview on the 22nd and are looking forward to finally the end of this part of the journey!

I'm with you guys....still waiting, waiting, waiting....luckily I was able to adjust my status to in-state resident for tuition purposes at my school, which helped a lot financially! But not thanks to USCIS!!!

No touch, no email, no letter...nothing!

My wife just sent out a letter to Senator Obama's office this week (we live in Illinois) so we hope they can help us out...

The green card arrived yesterday! My husband is in the UK on business, so I'll be Fedexing it to him shortly.

I almost didn't open it -- I thought it was a credit card!

Went for my wife's InfoPass appointment today. Found out that the FBI check was done and that she should be receiving her interview letter soon. Immigration officer was friendly and helpful. Stated that our case was in the system at the local office as of September 12. Hopefully this wait will be over soon. For us, scheduleing an InfoPass appointment was worth the extra time and hassle. At least we are not worried that it is sitting in a box somewhere collecting dust.

Hi My Friends,

Well, we had our interview last Friday and we WERE APPROVED!!! Finally! We had the interview in San Francisco, so we just took Bart. We got to the Federal Building about 15 minutes before the interview, the interview was at 8 am. There were only a few couples waiting, not a lot of people. We were called in about 8:15 am, and were interviewed by a gentleman named Nazeer, he appeared to be middle eastern. Anyways, he swore us in. And started to ask me, the US CITIZEN about my address, my date of birth, etc...general information, then he went to ask my husband the same questions. He asked if we had been married before, we said no. If we had kids together, we said no, if we had kids out of our marriage, we said no. He had a thick file in his desk, with all of our paperwork. He then ask, how did you meet? So I started telling him and then my husband talked about it too. He then asked if I had documents to prove our relationship. I had a folder and I gave him bank statement, shared insurance bill, life insurance in both of our names, a newspaper clipping that had our picture, our wedding album, honeymoon pictures. He actually looked at them all. He then left the office to make copies of the documents I provided as evidence. He was gone for about 5 minutes. He then said, congratulations you have been approved and your card should be ordered in about 3 days. And that was it, he was a nice gentleman, we did not feel intimidated.

Just got notice that our interview has been scheduled in Seattle (well Tukwila, WA) for Friday, October 24th! YAY us! OK I am totally nervous now...Any adivce would be GREATLY appreciated!

Do you have your evidence together? It's always helpful to get it sorted in the days before you have the interview, so you aren't in "panic mode."

I wouldn't be too nervous -- you've just been selected as "quality control" -- it's not a fraud interview.

I've been reading other folks' recent experiences, and it seems that the drill now is that the USC gets most of the questions. So you probably know the names of your spouse's family and how you met and who attended your wedding (these were the questions I was asked).
