Hey everyone. Congrats to the approvals!!! On my end, I spoke to the nice guy at my senator's office this morning who is trying to get answers for my case. He told me that it typically takes about 2-3 weeks to get a response but of course, just like with everything else, he has no idea why he hasn't gotten an answer yet. He told me that he had just sent an email and a fax and that if he didn't hear from them by the end of the week they were going to be getting a flash flood of faxes and emails from him so that he pressures an answer out of them. He said he's never heard of them being so difficult and silent about the EAD....we're not even asking them about the green card! We also have that service request that was put in a few weeks ago which they said takes 30ish days to answer. I'm hoping pretty hard that you'll be reading an excited and positive update from me soon but we'll see.

Good luck to all!!

Good luck with the Senator's office, it certainly worked for us, so I am hopeful for you.

Hi my friends!!!

I finally got GOOD NEWS...TODAY I received our I-485 appointment letter, YAY!!!:dance: It is scheduled for September 12th in San Francisco.

NOTE****DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING USCIS TELLS YOU.

It was strange, but TODAY I called USCIS to follow up on my husband's case (and today I received the interview). I told him there was no activity since our biometrics appointment. He said they were currently working on files from NOVEMBER 2007....ANNNDD (the big fat liers) said they NEVER skip anyone, and that they go in the order they receive the documents...LOL...sure buddies, I did not disagree and went along with the guy. I told him I changed my address last night online, and that I wanted to know if a notice or an interview had been mailed since I would be moving out this weekend. HE SAID NO, there was nothing new in our case. SO, POINT PROVED AGAIN. USCIS help line is USELESS. They did not know of our appointment being set.

Anyways, I just want to give you all hope and DO NOT believe what they tell you. Best of luck to all of you....and I will stay around to give you updates....

OH GOOOOD! Where do you live in California? Good on yah.

Hello all...

Long time no post but just wanted to let you know that we had our 130/485 interview this morning. The woman we met with was very nice. Here's a gist of the interview process in case some of you, like I, were wondering how it went:

- Arrived

- Were called in (both my wife and I together).

- Officer introduced herself and put us under oath.

- We went through our package and she verfied some of our answers

- Asked for additional documentation that we lived together (provided bank statements/lease)

- Asked for employment letter. I provided the same one I had submitted with the application.

- Asked me to step out so she could speak to my wife (my wife is the one sponsoring me)

- Called me back in after 5 min or so and asked me the same questions...they were along the lines of where we met, when we got married, parents/sibling names...all pretty straight forward.

- She told us that she believed our marriage was real and that she was approving me for conditional residence.

- Said a card would be arrive within 3 weeks and to call if not....hopefully no issues will arise with this.

- Provided a "conditional residence is approved as of today" piece of paper

- Gave us some info on the removal of conditions (after 2 years) and citizenship (if desided...after 3 years).

Best of luck to all of you moving forward. I know it feels like a long process but it's just a waiting game. Keep your head up and you'll be there soon.

Looks like a few of us that filed our AOS applications in March are still waiting for our interviews. It must be nice to be on the fast track with USCIS. I cannot imagine how that must feel. Nothing to do but wait

I just called the USCIS hotline to harass them about why nothing has been done with my EAD service request and when my call got transferred to a higher agent it said my wait time was "15-20 mins". So I was like, whoa nevermind. They probably couldnt have done anything for me anyway.

E-Merce, I don't really remember, when did you put in service request for your EAD? I know that you were supposed to write a letter to NBC, did you do that, or rather spoke to somebody on the phone? I wonder if they give response within 30 days, like they told me. I had Infopass appointment 2 weeks ago and called again and did another service request on Monday, but haven't heard anything at all yet. Did they tell you why is it taking this long? All I know about my case is that there is no RFE and everything is ok. So why do I have to wait so long?

I really hope that your hear something soon, it's ridiculous.
