AOS FILERS - March 2008

Hey Guys,

I still haven't heard anything on my case I am trying to be patient but Im starting to get really worried that I probably wont get approved. Its been a month almost two since my EAD was last touched and exactly a month yesturday since they updated my AOS regarding the RFE that I sent back! I profusely check my email everyday and as soon as I see the maill man put the mail in the mailbox I ran to it, dissapointed theres nothing important in there

Im in serious need of some enlightenment and Im turning to my fellow VJers!!

should I call Customer Service to find out whats going on??

Don't you worry! I'm pretty sure you'll get some good news soon.

I had a look at your timelime and it seems your Biometrics appointment was done at the end of April. Mine was at the end of March and I got approved at the beginning of May, so maybe since yours was a month later you will get approve very very soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hi Meishel101,

If it will help, you can look at our timeline. We felt this way too and all of a sudden we received a transfer email. So keep your heads above water. Eventually, you will hear from them. We got an rfe which we believe set us back about a month. Be encouraged and your time will come very soon. Also, you have to wait at least 90 days from the date of NOA-1 b/4 contacting USCIS. (F)

Your just going to have to wait it out especially since it hasn't been 90 days yet ...just wait it out I'm sure it'll come soon.....I noticed you filed your I130 too...I did as well...I'm guessing we'll be getting interviews not direct approval

Thank you guys for ur input, I know I can count on u to make me feel a little secure about this whole thing, I was WARNED that it can be a very stressful task and it seems like it aint getting better especially since Im going through it by my self! My hubby is too busy working he havent even asked how things are going... :bonk: :bonk:

We are planning a trip to California to visit his family at the end of this month maybe this will help keep my mind of things for a moment and I wont have access to my mailbox, so Im not constantly checking to see if I got mail,can't guarante that i wont check my email everyday though !

You're an F1 Student like me. I sent in a bunch of evidence with the I-130 so I'm wondering if I'll get direct approval or if all F1s are gonna have the interview regardless.

Im adjusting from a B2, Im not sure about F1 but I know I will be getting an interview because I adjusted from a Tourist visa and they are going to question my intent. My initial visit was Sept.10 2001, the day b4 Sept 11. spend 6 months. went home. came back July 2004. met my now husband at church. spend 6 months. Went home. Came back Feb 06.He proposed.Was gonna go home and apply for th k-1 but found out we were pregnant Aug 07 a few weeks before my entry expired, I decided to stay since he is a USC my "overstay" will be forgiven.May 07 our daughter was born.got married Dec 07. start the paper work March 08...

Absolutely. Like I said, I believe that it was to get the next batch in order. Kind of like a screening process. I believe that we are in the clear!!!!

Dont lose hope... In due time you will have your approval..keep on praying. I have a friend who came here on a B2 visa and like you she got married and applied for AOS. According to her lawyer which is a former judge cases like her usually take long to be processed and approved because of the many scam marriages happening around. You have to undergo all this checks and scrunity. As long as your marriage is a genuine one there is nothing to worry about. Honestly, it took my friend a year to be interviewed and approved...In this immigration journey, our patience is highly tested. And when everything is over we become immigration specialist...Just want to make you smile..

Congratulations on having a daughter!

Yeah I think you'll have an interview but I doubt they'll ask you much especially since you can prove your intent and have a child together. A lot of times they just want people to show up as a formality and don't even ask anything serious :lol:
