It's hard to tell with them. We only got one email saying it was approved and then got the card a couple of days later. No card production notice/email/update on the web. Maybe you'll get it in the mail today.

Still no word on our AOS...no touches..no transfer :(

I have a question, in the AOS timeline is asked "STAMP IN PASSPORT" It conffuses me :huh: I got my green card today (green card in hand!!! :yes:) read all instructions and there is absolutly nothing about me going to a close immigration center for my passport to be stamped. The question:

What is all about that stamp in passport? I will be very thankful if someone can help me with this mystery.

I think that the stamp in passport is for those who have an interview and are approved at the interview, and if the passport is not expired they stamp it with the I-551( aka green card stamp) that shows you're a permanent resident for you to use until you get the actual card in the mail.

But I thought that they didn't approve people at the interview anymore?? Is that true?? And I also thought they did away with the stamps???

Can anyone clear me up on this one?
