I need some ... :help: !!!

I applied for AOS and didnt applied for AP because I thought that once I get approved my AOS I can be able to travel out of the country. But reading this forum, I notice that everybody has applied for AP. Does it means that even if AOS is approved, I can not go out of the country without the AP approved? How long takes (aprox in months) to be AOS approved?

Regarding the EA employment authorization, I have to apply for it if one day I want to work? I mean; I wont be authorized to work in USA when the AOS is approved?

So many questions and so many documents and processes

I just notice our NOA1 says that our I485 AOS is at the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER.

I check the "Processing Dates for Applications and Petitions" at the National Benefits

center, and It doesn't show the I485 AOS as being processed there.

Does anybody know if they process I485's at the NBC?

I am worried that my application is sitting at the NBC and not being processed, this would not be the

first time this has happened to me. My I-129f, was sent to El Paso by mistake and it took 3 months to

get that straightened out.

Thanks

Y español tambien!

Thanks for all that information Acounto07. I have checked my portfolio online and since the 15th there is updating every day, including today, hence Touch, seems someone is touching my files, hopefully it is soon approved :star:

I am very much stressed about immigration, therefore I need some rest of it which means... no working by the moment :P ( I get enterteinment in my garden, going shopping, cooking and socializing; it is very important  ) therefore didnt apply for EAD. No traveling until Christmas, no need for an AP application.

But if I suddenly change my mind, I now know that I can apply any moment if my AOS is not approved yet.

LJW that is what I think too, I did not apply for AP as I am not needing it until December, but if I don't have AOS by the end of the summer I will apply for it then. Best of luck.

Don't worry guys.. you will receive it very soon... I was waiting for my SSN 4 weeks (before EAD having a K-1 visa)... but after EAD I received it in 3 days (asked them to change my last name in card)... I guess it took long time in the beginning because it was first time... :) Good luck :)
