Cool, it's good to know that this system is working again.....one hopes consistently

God, i feel so much joy!

When i went to the interview for a j1 visa last spring(whivh was 16 may,btw ;) ) i remember sitting nervous and srtessed out at the waiting aisle and i couldn't understand why are people that was accepted are smiling to those who're waiting like they know them. But then i remember me walking out from the interview and i was about to start flying. I remember how i looked at the crowd, and i showed all of my teeth and i wished luck to everybody like i knew them my hole life.

So this is what i feel now. i wish everybody would get as happy as we are now.

God remembers about all of us.

Congratulations Bryant and Aliona!!! :dance::dance:

I had the same feeling at the us embassy for a J1!! Being really nervous, and after, being so relieved, and smiling to all the others ones waiting!

Can't imagine how I will react when I will have my K1 visa!! :D

Just wanna say I feel also less guilty (like Rachel) to see filers who filed before me to finally get approved!!

Well, good luck to all the others waiting... ;)

Oh, having the k1 will make me speechless for a while, and i'm pretty sure i'm going to break down in cry and i will also suffocate my future husband with the tightest hug and the hottest kiss(he's going to attend the interview with me).

And you're right, i really am sorry for people who're still waiting, but filed before us. All i can do is promiss i think and pray about them.

Oh no what a pain! ANd what a way to start the morning! I know how stressed I get in the mornings with Gabby at times so I cannot imagine having to actually bring her to work with me haha! I did bring her the other day to see where I work though and it totally freaked her out as too many people...she kept saying "Stranger Danger" LOL boy oh boy what this world has come to that we have to be afraid of all we don't know huh?

And yes I WANT A TOUCH and APPROVAL too! UGH the waiting just plain SUCKS and that is all I can say about that!

Wow it sounds like she was very scared! was it only because there were many people?

Yeah think it was cause of so many people in one spot etc...not to mention I work with special needs too soooo seeing all that in one location might also have been a bit much for a 6 year old to handle haha!

Ugh. So I'm talking to an old internet friend and I know he is getting married soon so when he begins asking me questions about the visa and about where I plan to get married I figure he wants to compare stories and swap advice and suchlike.

Instead so far he hasn't answered any of my questions and all he's said, in response to me explaining that we'll be living with Alex's parents and that Alex will eventually go back to school full time is 'I hope you don't stay there too long' and 'I hope he sticks with that'.

Geez, way to come off as condescending and superior. Now I remember why I stopped talking to him. He's only a couple of years older than me. And if he knew me at all he'd know that the last thing I'd do is impose on Alex's parents for too long.

I guess I've grown too used to chatting to people from here who actually know what it's like to be poor and inconvenienced and who have to make the best of a bad situation.

Ok at first I thought u were gonna say he had already moved overseas and just got married to his lover haha! Cause I have people seem to tell me that all the time! Grrr  Ya know like "Oh well so and so just came here and married so and so, why don't u do that?" UGH so frustrating haha!

But yeah Rachel completely ignore this guy! He is prob just jealous! People just don't understand what it is like to be in such complete love with someone that we would do pretty much anything we had to in order to be with that person!

Gareth had one of his best friends tell him "oh man that is way too long of a time to put your life on hold" talking about waiting out the visa process!!! Talk about ticking me off haha!

whats so bad about chicago in august? :S

95 degrees, 95% humidity. You take a cold shower to cool off and you're sweating again before you've even dried off. There are no fancy hairstyles in Chicago in August as they all melt. That kind of thing.

Ahhh lol.. that sounds a bit like my own country xD

You gotta love the midwest, the summers may be hot, but the autumns are glorious - especially up in Sunnybear country.

Tee hee yuppers! LOVE the autumn! So happy Gareth will be here for it this year (well ####### he BETTER be anyway haha!)

First of all, there are some really great people who post on this thread. If there is one benefit to being a CSC filer it is that we have the time to truely get to know each other and become compadres in this process. I'm glad you are posting here as well.

Your story is a beautiful one and reminds me of what my mom used to say: we don't find love, love finds us. It sounds like love found you and your man when it was the right time to do so. I know you two will build a beautiful life together. I love this stuff, who's got another story....

Yup, love found us indeed. I guess it's the best way of saying it :)

Thanks for doing this list, Blake. Helps to see just the January filers.

However, how come my sweetheart and I aren't on the list anymore (Myriam and Gary). I've seen us in there before :(
