I want to give my notice to my boss!

I just sent them my notice! now everything is really becoming true! in 3 months I won't have a job anymore. :star:

I have a good news about that, actually my boss is not so bad. I was talking with him earlier. And he asked me, when I think I will be gone.

I told him, as soon I will have my NOA2 I will give you my notice. But, if its possible I would like to go 2 months after, not 3 months.

He answered. What I ask is when you want to go!

I told him, that I would like to be in August in Chicago. He said: OK!

!!!

So, as I told them my plans in January the accept that I will quit sooner!!!

It's a great news!

You're company was aware about you plans Cecile?

No. I did talk to them about going to the USA last year. They have subsidiaries over there so I asked them if there would be any job there for me. Sadly there wasn't. I haven't told them anything about me going there and getting married. Since then, I believe, the people I talked to were replaced by new ones who don't know anything about me. The thing is that I'm employed by a SSII (software and computing services company), but they send me to their client office. So I don't see my bosses very often. If I could see them more, I would have probably told them.

 Exciting stuff! :D I can't believe it's really happening, either!

I'm not going to walk to the doctor's surgery today because I am so stiff and sore from working out at the gym. But Alex can't send me all of the papers until next week anyway, so I have a little time. :)

Ugh. So I'm talking to an old internet friend and I know he is getting married soon so when he begins asking me questions about the visa and about where I plan to get married I figure he wants to compare stories and swap advice and suchlike.

Instead so far he hasn't answered any of my questions and all he's said, in response to me explaining that we'll be living with Alex's parents and that Alex will eventually go back to school full time is 'I hope you don't stay there too long' and 'I hope he sticks with that'.

Geez, way to come off as condescending and superior. Now I remember why I stopped talking to him. He's only a couple of years older than me. And if he knew me at all he'd know that the last thing I'd do is impose on Alex's parents for too long.

I guess I've grown too used to chatting to people from here who actually know what it's like to be poor and inconvenienced and who have to make the best of a bad situation.

Try to forget about that guy, Rachel. there will always people who will turn happy moments into bad ones just because they feel superior and they would not do things the way you intend to do them.

Yes; I'm just ignoring him now! I was just disappointed because I was in the right frame of mind to have a good natter with someone - oh well! Advice is welcome but only when it's sought. He'd be idiotic to think that they weren't issues I was concerned about and had already discussed with close friends and family - I'm not naive!

Well you still can join us on the parenting journey even if you are not the pregnant one hahaha! I want a boy too cause well I have a girl. BUT I have soooo many clothes and such that it would just be more convenient to have another girl hahaha!

Well you could make him gay :lol::rofl::rofl:

Buttt... don't they say the guy usually is pregnant as well in a way like people are pregnant together? hmm

I want to give my notice to my boss!

I just sent them my notice! now everything is really becoming true! in 3 months I won't have a job anymore. :star:

I wish I could do that as well already.. but... too scared they're gonna find a reason to fire me before I am even gone (that's what they did to others as well before :S)

Only my direct colleagues know about my plans but whenever management asks about it all, then it's a 'I dont know anything yet' lol

:wow: How terrible!

Also - fine, I'll sulk in the corner while you're all getting pregnant. :P Actually I'll be eager for news and will follow your progress with interest! I'll be tinged green with envy, but I'll do my best not to show it.

It was hot last weekend - reached 30 degrees Centigrade - and I hated it and then realised that, d'oh, I am moving to California.

But then I also realised that California has dry, not humid, heat and also their buildings typically have air conditioning.

I think that's the best approach. Some people just don't get it - or even understand the impact of their words. It sounds like jealousy more than anything, Rachel, if there's one thing we all kinda have figured out is how important the person we love is to our lives. Circumstances and "things" become irrelevant quickly when compared to real emotional committment. Many people, and I would put this guy in that category, haven't figured that out yet. You are wise enough to know that.

lol, same kind of weather here since last week.. getting a bit cooler now tho... but, I usually should add 2-4 degrees to that amount for my home, making it 32-34 inside my place.. I don't have airco and the fans, well, they do work but lol, I have a flat roof with a HUGE window in the top of my roof (which is pretty cool tho but not so much in the summer lol). A couple of years I actually almost hit 40 degrees C in there :(

I agree, cant wait till I get some dryer heat. When I was in Hawaii it was also lots better than here, the humidity over here in Europe really bites :(

Well every place here has air conditioning, it's quite common. And you're right that California's heat tends to be dry. The ocean front is wonderful in my book because it's always cool, not cold, and the occasional morning fog is not problem. It's when you go inland from the coast that the weather gets brutal in the summer - still, there is little humidity so it's bearable. You're moving to a great place in the country to live.
