I saw that one of us January filers just posted an RFE, hopefully it is not a big deal. E-dude, if you see this, was your notice substantial or was it a minor problem. I hope it is something you can clear up quickly.

He posted a couple of pages back that he'd missed ticking a 'no' box on one of the forms. :)

Which box was it? I've got to check my application copy.......

And So It Begins......

I did exactly the same thing! It was section C, question 2. The one about "Have you been convicted of any of the following crimes"

(I had checked it, btw...thank God! Every time I see an RFE I run off and check to make sure I didn't make the same mistake)

Blake - here's his post:

Update on the RFE I told you guys about last week..........

Missed checking the box NO on part C (Question # 2) of I-129F.

Had to re-do that page and re-sign and date........will be sending it back in tomorrow.

Hopefully that is it on the RFE's (for everyone!) and we will all be approved ASAP!

Thanks everyone for your help last week........

E

we got 2 touches in 2 days, any one has any clue whats happenin?

No; sorry! But I hope one of those touches is your approval. :)

E - I'm so glad it was something minor! Now you can get it back and hopefully you'll get your NOA2 really fast afterwards!

How's everyone else this morning? I've been really, really impatient the yesterday and today. I just feel on pins and needles like I need to be DOING something, but I don't know what. <_< I hate that feeling...hopefully I'll feel better today. I'm getting a new phone, so hopefully I'll get distracted by technology for a few hours. :)

I'm growing nervous myself! I realised I haven't read up much on the next stages. I haven't even worked out how to tell when our package has reached NVC.

I was going to call in at the doctor's and ask about vaccinations today but they closed at lunchtime. D'oh.

I don't know how long it takes until NVC gets the package, but I know how to contact them! I hope it can help you.

Contact NVC :

you can call them @ (603)334-0700, 1, then 5. You can't use the automated system to check K1 visas coz they don't load these into their automated system. So make sure you speak with a customer service representative.

track paperwork from NVC to embassy:

Ohhh...that sucks! As for the next stages...do you hang out on your regional board at all? I've spent some time over on the Canada forum and got a recent copy of Packet 3 from one of the people over there. Also check out the Embassy reviews for your embassy/consulate, there are copies of a lot of the forms you'll need there! I keep getting really stressed because I have the feeling that once we get the NOA2 everything will go really fast! The Vancouver Consulate usually schedules about 30 days out from everything I've heard...hopefully that means once we get the NOA2 we'll be less than two months from the visa (he's coming here as soon as he has it in hand). :)

Thank you, Cecile! I'd read that thread once before but wasn't sure how to search for it.

EDIT: And aravis, too! Yes, I do hang out in the UK forum - it's been very useful so far! I shall definitely have to download packet 3 forms to practise with...

Yeah, I don't think I'll be rushing to send Packet 3 back, although I won't delay it too long, either, as I'd prefer to begin arranging the wedding after I have the visa in hand and I'd like to give people a few months' notice.

I think the actual visa is good for something like 6 months after they issue it so there's no real reason to delay the packet 3 and the interview.

Indeed; my only problem is it'll just be very tempting to get on the next available flight and charge all expenses to my poor credit card! :bonk:

If I'm approved in June/July it's going to be so hard waiting through August to November. Maybe I'll put off buying a plane ticket until last minute so that if I find myself with more money than I expected I can move there earlier...

Same here.. I was supposed to go over in November since my sister is pregnant and has her due date at the end of October.. but seeing as how things go at work these days, it would be best for me to leave asap. Getting mental problems due to work aint the way to go and since I might be moving soon, it's no use to find a new job either :( so yeah, I really hope I get approved really soon and can move to my sweetie really asap

02/06/12 - Received yellow letter (pre-interview case file review)

03/13/12 - Placed in line for interview scheduling (3 yr anniversary)

03/17/12 - Received interview letter

04/17/12 - Interview - No decision, application under further review

04/17/12 - Biometrics

04/25/12 - Placed in line for oath scheduling (so I'm approved yay!)

04/27/12 - Received oath ceremony date

Aw, I am sorry to hear work is so stressful for you. :(

Still very much hoping that you and every else get swift approvals. I want us all to be having our interviews around the same time, too!

So, I'm curious, guys - how did you all meet? I've heard a couple of stories from people but if the question has been asked before it was too long ago for my poor brain to remember!

Unfortunately touches really don't mean much...it could mean they're about to send down an approval or it could mean you're about to get an RFE or it could just mean someone got over-excited with the scanner. I hope it's the approval option! A lot of people have been getting touches, but no approval reported...then they randomly get their NOA2 in the mail.
