LOL most Americans don't even know how to use English properly ;) Happy to be part of such a busy thread....and will be even happier once more Jan approvals start popping up

So very true!

If you use Firefox it comes these days with an automatic spellchecker that underlines misspelled words as you type. Now, I pride myself on being a pretty decent speller, but there are still times when I come across a word I've not used in a while or I make a typo. Since the spellcheck doesn't automatically correct words but merely underlines them I'm forced to go back and make the corrections myself, and I've actually learned how to spell correctly a couple of difficult words that way. I suppose spellchecks aren't always entirely useless!

Well, another couple who met on the same forums that Alex and I met on were married last weekend - they're going to file a K3! Actually, when we marry we'll be the third couple to have met on the forums to marry - the first couple moved to Canada where it sounds like the process was a lot easier. :P

Hellow fellow January filers at the CSC. There are a lot of you out there, but I don't see many of you posting in the regular January filers thread. I don't begrudge the wonderful speed at which the VSC filers are being approved - Congratulations to all of them - but it points out how different the experience is for CSC filers vs. VSC filers. While the January thread is full of great news about approvals and touches, etc. we CSCers have our own issues to deal with. For myself, I know it is difficult to empathize with a January filer who voicing impatience with a process that is so much shorter than the one I am facing - it may not be "fair" that our processing times are so different, but its also not fair to rain on their parade or dismiss the concerns of the VSC filers. There is also the relevancy - when the CSC side is talking about approvals the VSC group will be talking about interviews or weddings.

So how are you doing? Are you frustrated, concerned, or excited? Knowing the wait that sits in front of you, how will you use the next 5 months. If you think this is a valuable thread then please add to it. Regardless of CSC or VSC, I hope we can all support each other on this amazing journey.

I can't wait, either! I'm really looking forward to hearing from you all once you are in the US and also to seeing your photos! You, Blake, Cecile, MissYoko, and everyone else; we've been hearing all about everyone's plans and hopes in great detail, after all!

Hello CHeCraig! You're very welcome to post here but I see from your timeline that you're not actually a K1 filer - you might find better support in the K3 forum, which is below this one.

Ooh hope today and tomorrow bring several or LOTS more approvals! I told Gareth I am hoping and praying we get ours by my birthday (June 8th) he said "I want it by mine!" (his is this Sunday LOL!). I am so ready to start seeing January approvals! Got so excited yesterday to see those even though they were expedited cases it was still exciting to see January 2008 approvals on the board! Well off to work I go! Have a great day everyone!

My automatic spellchecker on Firefox is for French, so everything I type here is underlined  I should try to configure it to English too.

About Americans don't know how to use English properly, that is something Bryan tells me very often. Actually, he knows a lot of vocabulary but most of the time doesn't know how to spell them. And it's the opposite for me: I have a lot less vocabulary but I usually spell almost everything right (and I correct what he writes too). Of course his grammar is a lot better than mine!

Ooh hope today and tomorrow bring several or LOTS more approvals! I told Gareth I am hoping and praying we get ours by my birthday (June 8th) he said "I want it by mine!" (his is this Sunday LOL!). I'm the one crazy about the approvals. He never checks the USCIS website neither Visa Journey or Igor's list. He says that once we'll be approved we'll get the letter (NOA2) so there's no need to check all the time. Sometimes it almost sounds like he doesn't care when we get it :D But he's probably right anyway. As long as we get the visa before the end of the year, everything's fine.

On the other hand he really wants me to come to visit him before we get the visa. So it's not as if he didn't want to see me :P

I don't check the USCIS site for two very simple reasons - first of all, they'll let me know when its approved, and second, and perhaps more importantly, I've forgotten my password  God has resolved my obsessive behavior by creating a little temporary amnesia on my part. He's also resolved my obsessions with Igor's list by making me incredibly busy at work - I've got a entire company move and a system conversion to pull off this weekend. I miss chatting with you folks on a more regular basis, but when there's work to do........

Anyway, I agree there will be a tremendous amount of picture sharing as the days arrive - and a few cocktails to boot! And now it's time to find Igor's list and see what happened today :o

you are a riot! oh my goodness.

david doesn't check uscis and wouldn't know what igor's list was if it hit him in the face. i like that he's just waiting to see our NOA2 in the mail and isn't stressing at all. it helps keep me calm about the process, too. well, some days. :D

i hope the january CSC filers start seeing approvals very soon. :star:

Hey, we've already had two, kinda - the first one was in January and was a Cuban petition, and the second one was a January refiling of a petition originally submitted in September but screwed up by the USCIS.

So aside from the 1.68% of January filers approved, we're all waiting anxiously for Cecile and Bryan to get their approval. Those two are the proverbial canaries in the coal mine. When they go, we should know we're not far behind. B)

We all do but so far I think its a relative slow week again :/

Also, my timeline is getting scary.. the I129F approval date was July 3 or 4 when I signed up.. then went down even to June 20... now it is up at July 19 :crying:

N400 Timeline:

12/14/11 - Sending out N400 package

12/19/11 - Received by USCIS

12/21/11 - NOA date

12/27/11 - Received NOA

02/06/12 - Received yellow letter (pre-interview case file review)

yeah... I don't even hope that the January filers start seeing approvals soon, I'm just hoping that CSC is going to start working on K1 petitions very soon :(

So you're waiting for us to get our approval, so you will know when yours is going to come? I'm waiting for more December approvals because we're almost December filers :P

So what is that proverb with canaries in a coal mine?

I think I'll stop to check the timeline. Its just too weird. No approval, and the date don't stop to go far... not normal. Maybe I'm paranoiac but I was thinking that maybe some bad peeps are playing with that.

So as I think that, now I don't care about the timeline, its really too wrong to take care about.

Now I come there to read some posts, not more.

I still make me busy with my blog and other things.

Hugs to you all
