Morning my fellow Jan filers....Well it is Wednesday here in the US so here's hoping we see some more approvals being posted on VJ today! I am ready to see some movement already!!! Ok and I am uber annoyed with the people that put in their "hope" date for NOA2 as Igors list still has not gotten rid of them at the top even though the person has now taken that date off after they got attacked a bit for posting that ####### hahaha! But shoot it does mess with our stats and no one is to mess with our stats here right? ;)

Hello sunnybear!

I wonder how Igor's list works exactly. I mean, it's obvious that the data is not directly taken from the VJ database since their 'hope' date is still there. Which means it's somewhere in the cache. And then once an hour they look in the database for new approvals and add them in the cache? Anyway, as long as the code does bring all the new approvals, then it's Ok I guess!

Yeah I have no idea how it works either! Wish the moderator would get rid of that one though as it is saying I am now like 140 from like 160 the other day sooooo yeah that irritating as I know that is not true haha!

The week isn't half way for Igor's list.

Right now it is Wednesday, almost noon in Europe, so that means it is the night between Tuesday and Wednesday in the USA. Which means USCIS has worked two days this week so far.

People who were approved Monday might have discovered their approval Tuesday, and people who were approved Tuesday will discover today when they wake up. So that would mean that on Igor's list there are only approvals from Monday.

And..... I just checked on Igor's list and that isn't true: the NOA2 dates are 03/22 which is yesterday, and not Monday :( So my theory doesn't work in practice.

I don't think that theory works like that.. not everyone updates their timelines right away, some dont check their mail or the uscis website right away, resulting in a not exactly correct figures in the list... nevertheless is the list still a great thing to hold on.

about the week being halfway.. that's what it is called when it is wednesday (when considering workdays monday till friday).. it is indeed tuesday on wednesday night in the us but they dont work at night either atm :)

N400 Timeline:

12/14/11 - Sending out N400 package

12/19/11 - Received by USCIS

12/21/11 - NOA date

12/22/11 - Check cashed

12/27/11 - Received NOA

02/06/12 - Received yellow letter (pre-interview case file review)

03/13/12 - Placed in line for interview scheduling (3 yr anniversary)

03/17/12 - Received interview letter

04/17/12 - Interview - No decision, application under further review

04/17/12 - Biometrics

04/25/12 - Placed in line for oath scheduling (so I'm approved yay!)

04/27/12 - Received oath ceremony date

05/09/12 - Oath ceremony!!

I think Igor only downloads the data from VJ but does not update the previous entered data, or at least not in the approved list.. that data is in his database and will only be removed manually I think (or when theres 20 others who have been approved). Lucky that doesnt interfere with the data on VJ tho (meaning the immigration timelines, timelines and such coz that person has changed her data after the topic) :)

Well, that theory was only for people who check the uscis website 20 times a day of course! usually by the end of a week, there is for example 15 approvals and if you check two weeks later it's 20. The theory was only for the 15 who checked everyday :P but I know that doesn't work well either.

The couple that was approved yesterday was on expedite. It does not mean they are going to leave oct/nov/dec petitions in one room and start with January, don't worry. You'll get your approval someday.

They still continued working on October and November petitions even if they started working December ones. And as long as we are in the CSC processing times (2008/10/08), we can't complain anyway. Even though it is going to take some time, we will all get our approval!

that processing time just crazy they just do not know what they do ..VSC same processing time there but february filers also got their NOA2 so they just post that freaking processing time just because in case if they do not wanna process anything they can simply say that your case is still in our prcessing time

Maybe that's true, maybe the processing time is only a random number. But anyway, even though it is frustrating at times, it's best to try not to focus on it too much. Of course we would all like to know what they are doing, we would all like them to work faster, to make K1 petitions be their priority, we would all like to be with our loved ones and family. I was pretty frustrated about all this the past weekend. But becoming mad at them isn't going to change anything. In the end, that is still the same, it doesn't matter if they know what they do or not, it doesn't matter who they start with, we will always have to wait.

Tell me, other than checking the USCIS website and VJ and Igor's list, what else do you do to make time go a little faster? What are your hobbies?

Here is an idea of what you can do when they are not online: go outside and take as many pictures you can, or write as many details as you can about your country, that way when you see them again or when your children are older you can tell them lots of things about where they come from. Even if you will probably go back to Turkey once in a while, I'm sure they will like when you talk about your country. :)

I've had this idea a while ago but so far I haven't done many pictures! Between being lazy and the not so nice weather, it's been hard to do it
