Cuba petitioners get their approvals right away? Isn't that odd (and very unfair) if that happens??

Hmmm.. I think I go for the VSC explanation.. kinda makes more (fair) sense to me ^__^

Your first January CSC filer approval was actually approved last January, just 11 days after filing: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...l=&id=42368

The first January VSC approval was also approved 11days after filing:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...l=&id=40964

Cuban petitions may get expedited but will take them very very very very very long before they could have interview. The two couple was approved last January but their interview will happen by June, 5 months after approval.

The reason for expedite has been explained many times but i still dont get it fully.... probably because I don't know the history between US & Cuban political relations.

When I first saw this hit last night I thought the same thing - expecially since Y&P has no footprint (information in the timeline or posts). It could certainly be a Cuba filing, that would be the only other reasonable explaination.

Hmmm... that's pretty long indeed but probably still earlier than most CSC filers will have their interview then.. I'd still trade with them hehe

Oh well, I'm happy for them they don't have to wait so long for CSC but yah, I'd wish to see more CSC filers to be approved.

I can't wait to see more approvals to. Some peeps are thinking that uscis website doesn't work, but, if its true, why it works for VSC...

Even I make me busy, I'm still checking my timeline and igor's list and it really makes me depress when i see absolutely no moves from CSC...

The website works, that is the bitter truth. The bit about people one week updating their timelines from the prior week (not because of mail, but because of timing) is pretty standard. The simple fact is that I think the CSC isn't approving applications at this point. The focus, I believe, is on clearing the HB-1 workers visas. When you think about it that would be nuts. That USC's are forced to wait while foreign workers get an opportunity to work for microsoft (or whereever) is a$$ backwards. I have no problem with foreign workers having an opportunity to work here, however, they should stand in line like everyone else. I read on a Nebraska Service Center forum that the HB-1's take precedence over K-1's and other non-immigration visas. If that is really true I'm pissed - corporate America's desire for cheap labor shouldn't trump it's own citizens.

There - my rant for today.

I am wishing everyone the best of luck on their speedy approvals. I always remind people to expect the worst and hope for the best, that way you will be delighted when and if your petition is approved earlier than expected. If you expect the approval too soon then the wait becomes all the more agonizing and drawn out. I am not trying to be negative in the least, so I hope my message isn't taken that way. I am trying to assist those people who may still have a long wait ahead of them I filed in October in CSC and I guess somehow I was fortunate because my petition was approved and yet I see that many, many people who filed in October are still waiting. I was thinking our petition would take a good six months so I honestly didn't check timelines too often and I think the time went faster that way (I know, easier said than done).

Good luck to all of you. I guess all this waiting goes along with the saying "what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger". The waiting, fees, and all the other hoops to jump through seem unfair but once you are together, in the same country, sharing and enjoying eachother's company, you can begin a new phase of life with your fiance knowing that your relationship survived a very difficult and trying process and you should be proud of yourselves for hanging in there!

Best wishes!!

OUR STORY and TIMELINE:

07/05: Jose and I met while I was living in Costa Rica!

10/07: We filed our application (I-129F)

02/08: Petition is approved!

03/08: CR Embassy receives our file

04/08: Jose's interview in San Jose, Costa Rica (April 25th). VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

05/08: May 14th Jose arrives in at JFK, May 16th he arrives in California!!!

07/08: Married!

08/08: AOS/EAD/AP paperwork submitted

08/08: Biometrics Appointment

12/08: Interview for Adjustment of Status, very easy and all went well!

We expect to have Jose's greencard by February!

Where do I find the January filers string? I was originally a September filer but due to a CSC mistake had to refile in January so I feel like this I-129F petition process is never going to end!

Thanks,

Gerald

Well, this is one - generally geared towards CSC filers (which you are) and there is also a January Filers thread that encompasses both CSC and VSC filers. Regardless of which service center people filed with - they are all welcoming and very nice. So welcome!

I'm sorry about the error at CSC, that doesn't make me feel good. What was the nature of the error? More than the rest of us, I understand your feeling that this process is never going to end, geez September? That stinks. So Gerald, where in the Ukraine does Vinera hail from. My SO is from Zapropzhje (yeah say that with a mouthful of crackers). How are you two working through this problem at the CSC?

Thanks for your concern. I first filed in September and my petition arrived at CSC on Sept. 20. Somehow from there it got in with a stack of I-130 petitions and since all I-130's are being forwarded to Chicago my I-129F went along for the ride. When it got to Chicago they correctly recognized it as an I-129F and instead of sending it back to CSC where it belonged they sent it back to my attorney. That whole process took form Sept. 20 to December 22! We re-filed in January and since them have been trying to have my petition put back in line where it would have been without the USCIS mistake. Finally got someone at the NSC to take my Expedite request 2 weeks ago and I received an email from an office Harris at CSC last Monday requesting documentation for my Expedite request which I sent that day. I also tried to respond to the email and send the documentation back as an attachment but I found out you can't do a reply to one of their email. It comes back an undeliverable because of unknown user. So, now I wait to see what get decided.

My Fiancée is from a little village outside of Melitopol. She owns a couple of small grocery stores in her village. There is a photo of her and I in one of them in our profile. I have made four trips to Ukraine in the last year. In August we went to Sevastopol on the Black Sea and it was absolutely beautiful. The water was as clear as a mountain stream in the Sierras! Lots of great places to eat for very little money also. We talk through Skype every day and also exchange letters while waiting for her Visa. Anyway thanks for asking this is a great support website

The website works, that is the bitter truth.

I think you're right when looking at the latest approvals. However, there were people stating before that they didn't had any approval notice by email and that it was not updated on the USCIS site but they did have the NOA2 by snail mail, that's a bit why I was figuring that what I said may have been a reason...

Oh well, another week, another round, let's hope they start with the K1 visa's soon again :)

Hello everybody

Hope everyone had a good weekend. And I also hope that CSC workers had a good weekend too and that they will be workaholics this week and approve many petitions! Actually, I'm not asking for "many". Just more than the previous 2 or 3 weeks.

lunabean, thank you for your advices.

Right now I'm trying to stop thinking of this process. Strangely enough, it seems that it started to really have a bad influence on me last week. Well, that's probably because of the slow pace of these 3 last weeks, and the fact that January filers at VSC are having their interviews and visa approvals. And also my mother doesn't stop asking me if there's anything new for the visa, and there isn't.

So if I'm not online as often as usual, don't worry I'm not dead, it's just that I need a break and that I'm trying to do other things with my free time.

07/31/08 Entry in USA with K1 visa

08/27/08 Married

05/15/09 Conditional green card received

05/10/11 Permanent green card received

07/28/12 Started naturalization process

08/31/12 Biometrics done

Hello everyone, hello Cecile...

Hmmm what can I say, i feel the same than you. So I try either to do other things.

And yes it's hard to see peeps who filled after us having already, NOA2 or even visa... :(

Feel bad too.

I really need to stay a bit away from all of that, if not i will become completely insane.

Hugs and kisses to you all

Yoko

Well one thing I am thinking that person who got approved recently was lying. I had been messaging with them and they joking said "maybe I should scan it in so people believe me" and I replied back with "yes maybe you should!" Needless to say haven't seen them around again! So yeah thinking it was a troll!!!! Some people I tell ya!

Hope CSC gets their act together this week and lots of approvals!!!!
