Would be fun if they do it in backwards order per month... that would mean I was among the first :D but ok, wouldn't be fair so oh well, let's not do that then after all.

I have to admit that is stresses me out to know that some of us might be forgotten or lost by USCIS (like estadia or L&P who have been waiting for around 200 days) That's my biggest fear actually.

Yes it would be so much better if they processed the case in chronological order.

I agree on that, this is one of my biggest fears as well... I haven't seen a 'touch' since 1 feb so it really makes me wonder.. doesn't have to mean anything but yah, it is a bit scary. As long as the application get through the first part and gets send to the consulate, then my mind will be much more at ease.

Boy would that be great  Nah, I say they do it chronologically - fair being fair and all that.

And So It Begins......

Good thread, Blake.

I think the most frustrating in that process is the speed difference between VSC and CSC. oh and the fact that they don't work on the petitions in the order they arrived.

Igor did a good job in separating CSC approvals and VSC approvals on his list. That way we see their approvals only if we decide to check.

That list is great, but sometimes (when I check it 10 times a day), I wonder if it wouldn't be better not to have anything like this. This way we would focus on other things. That way, time would seem to go faster. At the same time, what is the worst: not being able to know how fast/slow it goes or being able to see that they are not moving really fast? Finally I'm glad that list exists.

Even though, as I said before, the process is quite frustrating, since we still have several months to wait, it is very endurable. It makes me happy to see approvals from CSC, even though they are people who filed 2 or 3 months before us.

Last night I did the math. there has been 165 approvals since we filed (almost 2 months ago) and we are 170 on Igor's list. January approvals might start in 2 months. Of course, that is only an hypothesis and we are probably going to wait longer than that. I know I'll start being very upset about this whole process around May.

Iam not a January filers but i got my NOA1 December 10, 2007 and its April 2008 now and still havent got my NOA2......VSC is alot faster than CSC, i wish i will have my NOA2 soon.... some of my friends who filed their paper in VSC same month as me have been approved February and they will have their interview very soon.....

any updates with January filer? anyone got their NOA2 yet?

Nope, nada, zippo, zilch, zero, none. They're still cleaning up October filers, knee deep in November, and scratching the surface of December. January folk might get a scratch or two at the end of the month. Unfortunately, things appear to have slowed dramatically over at the CSC.

And by the way. First thing i will say to the hair dresser is... ok if I'm not happy at the end, I'll kill you.. so... do a great job. :P

 .. maybe i should borrow this line MissYoko... Oppss, i guess it won't really work for me... i forgot my hairdresser would be Ricky's 21 year old daughter, that's her specialty and she's really good. It has been decided almost a year now that she will do my hair so i guess i just have to worry about the make up then.

A great way to save money on the make-up, now get this, go to a real good cosmetics store preperably a department store like Macy's or Nordstroms the morning of the wedding and have them do your make-up for you. It'll be free (because the goal is to get you as a customer) and hopefully will be to your liking. Fun facts from the "wedding planner"

 ... im curious about that wedding planner you have... could you share the link pls? maybe they still have tons of budget planning ideas.

Blake, here's another free downloadable wedding planner. You can download it and put it on a folder and just take out the per month basis and it also have questions to ask for the coordinator, photographer, caterer etc. http://www.pashweddings.com/library/free-wedding-planner.php

Both centers have slowed down.. Maybe they are busy filing taxes or maybe they are all out on a field trip or out there campaigning for the next president. :(

 Sorry, can't link it, but I've become (through necessity not choice) my own wedding planner. Of course I always check with a higher authority (that being Olga) for agreement. If I find more ways to shave excess costs, I'll let you know.

@dbears : just i don't know if it works really :P will see. I use to have the same hairdresser for years, it will be not easy to find a new place where i feel enough comfortable... but yes, like said Cecile its not the first thing i worry about right now.

They are late november filers at CSC shes... you can check other people's date of filing and etc. by clicking on the timeline icon below their screen name.. well, that is provided they have set up a timeline.

Of course hair shouldn't be your topmost worry but then, you already have a very beautiful gown which would make you look like a goddess with or without make up and just free flowing hair.

ok, you don't have a dress... but... if i list all i still have to do... ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

I'm still looking about what i gonna to do with my stuffs. A movers gave me an estimation for all i have, they say 16 cubemeters. (it include my furnitures). They ask about 7000 euros to move that. OUCH!

So i decided to keep only one chair that i really like and sale what i can on ebay. Will just keep clothes, books, cds etc... So another movers will come at home to give me another estimation for only clothes and books etc. I hope that i can move that for not more than 2500. If not i don't know what i gonna to do. You know I don't move alone, i move with my daughter, and i can't imagine to let all.

If you know a good solution about that...
