Also, not being able to do my shopping by myself because of no Dl doesn't help... I like to shop alone and take my time. When I'm with someone else, I feel like the person might get bored at looking at things he might not want to look at... ^_^

Very true! And how do you go shopping for someone if that person is the one who drives you to the store? :P

yes I know. it's a pain!

It's been the second year in a row that Damon and I are together for Xmas with me not having a car. So this year like last year no surprise for Xmas. We just shop together what we want... But next year, when I'll be driving, surprises will be back! ;)

HI everyone all is good here in Michigan. Gareth has been doing excellent as a housewife and "manny" for my daughter heehee....He is getting a bit broody about not being with his family this Christmas and I am trying to be as understanding as possible since I missed many Christmases with my own family but this is his first one missed in his whole life!

He enjoyed Thanksgiving but said it was weird to not have alcohol during a family holiday LOL I told him we can drink here Christmas day when it is just him and I and my parents and sister haha. My grandparents are not drinkers.

I am just getting to our wedding thank you cards right after I post this and then onto Christmas cards too!

Oh and he got Social Security card already no problem :) We started filling out paperwork and no questions as of yet anyway!

Hope all are well!!!!

and what they call King's cake is a Mardi Gras cake in New Orleans that doesn't look yummy at all...

lol I know what you mean.. I looked it up how they look like and.. idk what's up with the Americans and all those unattractive colors on their pastries (got lots of those here too) but, lol, I rather have something with normal colors.. it looks scary to eat something which is bright yellow, purple and green and such :S

Jeroen: It might be so weird to be in sandals for Xmas! Personnaly, I wouldn't like that. :P I used to live in Leiden, NL. And it was so pretty on Xmas time with the snow and the narrow high houses, boats on the canal covered by snow....I loved that!

lol I can imagine and.. hmm.. now that you say it like that, I do kind of miss that.. then again, I haven't seen snow in my old country for years (you can believe it or not but when there's snow in the whole country, my city never had any... even now that I am gone it was the same apparently lol).

And yeah, I can imagine it must be kind of hard for the both of you not to be able to drive to the stores on your own.. Then again, even tho I know the stores and can drive there myself, I still haven't figured out what to send to my daughter for Christmas lol.. I want to find something Hawaii related but, if I can't and it takes too long, then I guess I have to ask my mom to buy something for her in my name... guess I should hurry, only a few weeks left :S

I got the most adorable Christmas tree ornament while in Hawaii....it is made of clay and it is Santa and a hula girl but Santa is dressed in a hula skirt too I believe then it says Hawaii on it....something simple but something I treasure each year I see it :) Just an idea!

EAD and AP approved.

I don't want to start working again!!! it's so nice to stay at home! :(

But at least once I receive the EAD card I can finally get a driver license.

Thanks both :D I went to Hilo Hatti (a tourist like store) and got some things for both my daughter and my sister's son... got some typical Hawaiian clothes for them and for my daughter I also bought some Hello Kitty things, such as a t-shirt, charm and a towel... she likes Hello Kitty a lot and since it was all Hello Kitty but brown and wearing a Hula skirt and stuff, it is kind of Hawaii related :D

lol, you shouldn't tell Bryan that you received the EAD.. tell him that it is denied and that you will have to wait for the greencard

Nah seriously though.. I can imagine what you mean, I wouldn't like it at all if I had to work right now, then again, might have something to do with the weather  (although not today, very stormy weather today.. bleh rainseason). At the other hand, I am pretty lucky, when I get the EAD, I can still stay at home as I will work from home on my own hours :D

I kinda thought of not telling him  but that would not be fair.

I wish I could find a job where I can work from home. Or at least I wish I can find a job that I like and pays well and isn't too hard. Wait... I think that is what everyone wants :P Actually I wish I could be a housewife! That would be my carreer choice. B)
