@Lucie, I think they either made a terrible mistake or that the person who helped you just didn't know any better but it is for almost every airline 23kg per bag, not the total. It is at least for all the major airlines like this.

Well I gues it was my fault. I didn't read well enough the company website... :(

But it was weird 32kg seemed fine to me. Because when I was living in China, with their main airline co, airchina, it was 30kg max total! and in one bag! So I thought it was the same for the US...

Now I know it's 23kg. I learned my lesson! ;)

So confusing, isn't it?! I've read that it's 2 bags per customer, and each bag can be up to 23 kg...I really hope that's right, because each bag is around 20 kg! D:

World Traveller Plus and World Traveller - 2 bags

Maximum dimensions per bag (H+W+L): 158cm (62in)

Maximum weight per bag: 23kg (51lbs)*

I think I'm okay!

Thank you for the advice and reassurance - just running around right now trying to do the last few things and beginning to panic a little! It'll all be over soon...

Don't worry! you're fine!!

Have a safe trip!

lol that does sound familiar.. I was also confused when I came back from China and had a trip to the US after that.. I did read the website so I didn't get into trouble but, like you, I was also able to bring 30kg in a bag without any problem... I guess there are some special rules applying for China or something (maybe because of all the fake brand items haha).

To Rachel: Wednesday is almost over in the mainland (still two more hours where I am hehe) so I guess it is safe to say: Welcome home!!

Thank you Cecile!

Yes I arrived here fine; very good flight, and I was so glad I booked a direct flight!

The apartment is really lovely and big enough for the two of us. It's been thoroughly cleaned and we bought new pillows and a duvet and sheets. The kitchen is as brand-new and it's going to be fun stocking it with cooking and baking equipment!

We also met with the minister for our wedding and he was absolutely delightful; he had the friendliest face. :)

I haven't posted here for awhile, but I've tried to keep up...I saw that Blake had some problems, that they were worked out, and that he was going to come back and explain what had happened. Has anyone heard from him? How is he doing?

See my timeline for my K-1 and AOS/EAD/AP details.

Good to know that everything is fine, Rachel. Be careful with the cooking equipment though... We bought so many things for the kitchen that it looks like we don't have room for everything! :P

He hasn't explained anything yet :( I hope he will be back on here soon, and I really hope everything will be fine for them in the end!

Welcome to Americer Rachel ;) Cannot wait to see more pics and such!

Blake I am also thinking of you!!!!

Gareth and I are officially married! It all went super well despite some humorous events....(fish in centerpieces dying, me breaking the head of the groom off our cake topper after he totally creamed me with a cupcake(I said it was his karma! haha), having loads of leftover food etc..). We have some amateur pics up (mostly taken by girls under age of 8 LOL) on our site so just message me if you want to see otherwise I will post some pro pics once we have them back!

It snowed lots on our wedding day and day after! We actually went into a snow covered field and did snow angels in our wedding garb! Yes me in a strapless gown doing snow angels! BRRR hoping the pics turn out rad though!

We had a great turn out only one table wasn't touched in reception hall. Received a good sum of money and gifts and more keep slowly trickling in for us :D

Now for Gareth to have his first Thanksgiving at my grandparents this week along with 20 plus of my relatives!

Hoping all are well here!
