NOA2 Recvd but Online Status is Broke

My I-129F NOA1 date is Jan 4th and NOA2 date is May 7, and NVC received on May 15, 2008.

I know the last two dates from paper mail.

CSC "updated" my "online status" on May 7 but it reads exactly the same as it did in January. There is no mention of the NOA2.

I was also signed up for email notification, but alas, no email arrived.

Is it routine for the electronic notices to be missed?

Congrats Ten & DJ!!!

The short answer to your question would be yes. It seems that lately, the computer system may or may not show that your NOA2 was issued and you may or may not get that email. Sometimes people will see a "touch" on their case, as you have, but the status doesn't change. Consider this yet another example of how USCIS is hardly a smooth operating machine. Nevertheless, you now have the NOA2, and it seems you are well on your way to those papers reaching the embassy! What a nice surprise!

Congrats again! I hear everything goes much faster now!

BIG BIG CONGRATS DJ+Ten.. if Nvc received the approved I-129F May 15, there is a strong possibilty that your papers are already in Manila US embassy. You can call to schedule interview appointment already. Numbers to call are: 1-909-101-7878 if calling within the Philippines... 1-888-877-9888 if calling outside the Philippines. Some wait for the beneficiary to receive notification from embassy, others like me didn't wait at all. (I am highly OC so I tracked down our papers from NVC to USEM and soon as I knew our papers were there we gave it 2 working days then we called for interview appointment)

Pls check here for more information:http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

I hope this will help. Good luck to you both.

Yes sir you can call, you won't have interview appointment sched unless you make the call. it is the new procedure ath the US embassy in the Philippines now.. when to call is another question. For us we called soon as our papers was with embassy in manila and didn't have problem at all. But pls make sure that you only call Monday to Friday, 8AM-6PM Manila time.

Pls check the Philippine forum for US embassy manila specific topics.

Best of luck again.
