January Filers at the CSC - How are you doing?

Hey Blake... I mean Moses... no, I mean Blake,

Just wanted to point out that the April approval was an '07 not an '08. So in fact their wait wasn't such a lucky one.

By the way, I AM SO TERRIFIED OF GETTING LEFT BEHIND!!!!!!!!!! But like we've said, I think everyone is in that boat. I thought it was very gracious of Rachel to say a few weeks ago, that if anyone gets a slightly longer wait, it could be her cause she's not moving until later this fall. Very kind of you. However, I'm quite happy to see you got the NOA2 nice and early anyway. You sure deserve it! And NO ONE ever deserves to be left behind.

AH! I am so scared of being left behind, too...I just got more scared about it reading estadia's post. She said CSC was concerned about their age difference...there are 10 years between Dennis and me, I'm 27 and he's 37. I hope that doesn't cause problems. I think I'm just having a panicky, extra-stressed day today.

me, too! and i didn't realize that the age difference was a problem in estadia's case. (i pray she and all those waiting an extra long time get their approval soon!!!)

for what it's worth there are 12 years between david and me but we have never, ever had any issues happen as a result of the difference. i don't think it matters as long as two people are happy together.

ANYWAY, i hope your day calms down and the panic and stress fades away. :)

:idea: :idea: :idea: good vibes to all the january filers! :idea: :idea: :idea:

I'm not worried about it causing problems with us...I'm only worried about CSC delaying things because of it. I have seriously considered moving in with my Aunt Mimi for the summer because she lives in Rhode Island and it would mean I could transfer my case to VSC! :lol:

Well it keeps telling me I used an invalid file extension when I try to add my pic so guess no pics for me!!! Levi is 5 years younger than me but not really worried about that but was reading someone here was denied because the CO didn't feel they had enough proof of their relationship and that worries me a bit. Levi and I text constantly but don't talk on the phone much to keep the bills down and when we are together we're busy being together not taking pic's of us together. Did that make sense?

Yes!! Dennis and I have the same problem with pictures...we didn't have any spontaneous pictures from our first several visits. But we have phone records and boarding passes...I realized we would have a bit of a problem there, so I started calling him a couple of times a week, even if it was just for 10 or 15 minutes so that we would have phone records. We have a lot of pictures from the last visit, including pics with my mom, brothers, and dad. So I really hope it's enough.

re: pics - we sent 4 with our application and i believe i have 2 more so far. he really doesn't like having his photo taken so it's always a struggle. he jokes that i have to ask for 'clearance from his management' first. he is such a character :lol:

re: communication and ongoing relationship - david and i don't talk every night like we used to and the texting is at a minimum. we're both far too busy and we found that the constant communication was... well, it was unrealistic and not what we'd be doing when we're finally together. plus it made us miss each other even more. i have to say, i SEVERELY disliked the cutback in communication at first but now i'm finding that it's actually easier to get through the days and weeks... and hopefully months... i'm not there yet :) i do hope we're not shooting ourselves in the feet though. we hardly have any emails either. hmmm... hopefully they see us and realize it's quality and not quantity! :thumbs:

can i move in with aunt mimi for the summer, too? :D (obviously kidding... but heck, it sounds like a nice change of pace!)

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

and geez... USCIS concerned about ages?? That would be the last thing I would be worried about, as long as it is legal. I wont have this problem tho (my fiance is 30 and im 31) but when I look to my parents.. my dad was 30 years older than my mom and they were married because of love and nothing else.. age is nothing but a number if you ask me :/

N400 Timeline:

12/21/11 - NOA date
