I know the I134 is required for a K visa. I am an IT (computer) contractor so I have contracts that run anywhere from 3 to 6 months in duration, then I look for another contract. I get paid well enough that just working a couple of months this year I easily exceed the minimum requirements for income. Usually I take some downtime between contracts for both training and vacation, and having just finished a contract I planned to spend a month with my fiancee. As such I don't show income currently but I have bank statements showing deposits from my last contracting job that show my income has already gone well over the minimum required income, and as well I have assets that far exceed the minimum required. And of course I have tax transcripts etc that show my income over the last 3 years esaily exceeds the minimum required as well. Will this be sufficient or do you think I have to find another contract before my fiancee has her interview?

I think the route is to make sure your tax returns reflect the 125% poverty line threshold. If that is a question (its not for you but it might be for others) then you will have to either show that you have the assets (not deposits into a bank account, but the bank balance itself) that indicate your fiancee will not become a burden on the public when she arrives here or have a cosponsor. Since your tax transcripts are sufficient, I think you shuold be fine. Usually there is a "letter from the employer" included in the I-134 but since you're self employed you don't need that either.

And So It Begins......
