please give comment/opinion....my fiance(in the USA) got previously married to an illegal alien...how much will this affect the filing for a k1 visa? thanks!!!!

Hmm I really don't know. They will want to know of any past marriages and he has to give names and dates they were married, etc. etc. Be honest, do not lie about this.

He is divorced with the certificate showing so?

I hope someone can give you a little more insight with this as I'm not sure what might happen.

You already posted this in the K-1 forum, and the answer is still the same: the "illegal" alien you speak of received a green card, hence, not illegal. The only issue for your fiancee is whether he is free to marry (his divorce is finalized). If that is the case, then the I-129f approval should not be a problem.

You already posted this in the K-1 forum, and the answer is still the same: the "illegal" alien you speak of received a green card, hence, not illegal. The only issue for your fiancee is whether he is free to marry (his divorce is finalized). If that is the case, then the I-129f approval should not be a problem.

Just make sure the divorce is finalized and he has proof, certificate of divorce.
