I am naturalized US Ctizen filling for I-130 for my spouse. I am almost done assembling my packet and I want to know if I have missed anything.....It's better to be labelled paranoid and stupid rather than make mistakes with USCIS...Here is what I am sending out:

- Cover Letter listing following items

- Payment in the amount of $ 355.

- I-130 Form

- G-325A and passport style photo for Petitioner

- G-325A Supplement Sheet for Petitioner: Petitioner’s employment history for last 5 years.

- G-325A and passport style photo for Beneficiary

- Copy of US Passport for Petitioner

- Copy of Certificate of Naturalization for Petitioner

- Copy of the Marriage Certificate

I haven't included my birth certificate as I was not born in USA. I have NOT included beneficiary's birth certificate. Is that going to be OK? Am I missing anything here? UGH!!! THIS IS SO STRESSFUL.

My only thoughts are the proof of bonafide relationship mentioned above and if either of you were married before, proof of termination of marriage is required (divorce decree, death certificate).

There have been other threads that discuss on length just this topic "Evidence of Bona fides of marriage". Other experienced posters (who have been thru the process) also point out that it says "Applicants should submit one or more of the following types of documentation that may evidence that bona fides of your marriage" Plus, it's kinda hard to show this type of evidence (joint property, bank accounts, joint lease) if you have stayed with your spouse for only 3-4 weeks in foreign country and you are back in US again. THe only thing that's viable in the list above is item I (Affidavits). Hopefully, by the time visa call comes, we can show them evidence of relatiionship in the forms of email, chat logs, pictures, call logs and other items

I traditionally use blue ink when I sign documents. Makes it much easier to distinguish a copy from an original.

I thought the instructions for I-130 says to use 'BLACK' ink.????? Where does it say to use BLUE ink???

CS

Looks good, I agree with everyone who stated that you should send some proof of your relationship. While some people get away with not sending anything - some get an RFE and it's not worth it to hold up your application for something that you can supply.

CS is correct about the black ink btw. From the I-130, page 1:

4. What Are the General Filing Instructions?

A. Type or print legibly in black ink.
