My kids JUST stopped barging in on me while I'm in the bathroom and they are 10 and 11. Before that it was quite the social event. lol

my daughter is 12 :lol::blink:

The door locks for a reason ;)

The only one who comes into the bathroom with me is my cat, and that is because she will claw up the carpet and the door trying to get in otherwise :P

This sort of thing has never happened to me, but it has happened to my brother. Apparently, one time (while on campus) he was relieving himself in a stall and someone in the next stall said, "Hey, how are you?" My brother paused, since he thought he recognized the voice, but since he couldn't see who it was, he wasn't sure if he should answer.

My brother decided to answer back, "I'm fine. You?" In a moment, it became obvious that the person who spoke before wasn't talking to my sibling, but someone else on his cell phone. Needless to say, my brother was a bit embarrassed.

I think my cousin once dropped his cell phone into the toilet too. After he had used it. That would've been hilarious. Well, for me anyway -- not for him.

Honestly, I think people use their cell phones in far too many public places without a real need. Sure, it's great to have one for emergencies and if you're expecting an important call, keep it on. But if you're in a restaurant or in a movie theater, turn the damn thing off!

While I do think there are a small handful of people with professions that warrant keeping their cell phones on all the time (physician or police officer, for instance), the average person probably doesn't need their cell phone on 24/7 or to chat away in most social situations. Even if you need to keep it on, there's always the "vibrate" function, which makes getting the call far less annoying and you can "excuse yourself" from the area to talk, which would be the polite thing to do (especially if you're a physician or police officer, as you might be discussing both confidential and gruesome information).

You just reminded me of another story from my IT days. This guy brought his Blackberry in because "it quit working." Well, one of the first things I do is take out the battery. There's a little spot under the battery that turns red, I think, if it gets wet. Well, it had obviously been submerged. So, I called him to tell him we couldn't fix it and to come pick it up. When he came by, I was telling him about it getting wet and whatnot. He actually admitted to me that he was peeing and dropped it in the urinal. "It worked for a couple days." I wanted to punch the guy.

I used to supervise in a plant, and we had to carry a Nextel at all times. One day I was in the restroom at work, and my supervisor called me on the Nextel, "BEEP... Caroll!" No way I was gonna answer in there. Then again, "BEEP... Caroll!" I still didn't answer. So he put the dang thing on alert, "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!" I walked out of the restroom, still beeping -- and fuming by then -- and there he was, leaning on a railing, asking me to walk over and check on something very minor that was 20 feet away from where he was hanging out. I still don't like Nextels, and I won't carry any cell phone in walkie-talkie mode without a darn good reason.

Dark and lonely on a summer's night.

Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.

Watchdog barking. Do he bite?

Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.

Slip in his window. Break his neck.

Then his house I start to wreck.

Got no reason. What the heck?

Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.

C-I-L my land lord!

I goggled it and didn't find any bands named after it but I did find a motor home park. The name is all yours!

Talking to me while you're having an open door dump is grounds for ranting! :protest::ranting:

Sounds like a good name for an "alternative" band. Probably already taken.
