hello fo my fellow Vjers..

I called NVC today and found that they have forwarded our file to Montreal on Feb 26. Does this mean that we have been scheduled for an interview or no? Because i called NVC on last Friday and operater told me that i will know the interview date in mid-march and told me to call them back then. Well..please clarify me what this messege means?

thanking you in advance,

pari

It just means your case has been sent to the consulate. From now on, you will communicate with them to ask about interview times. Give them a couple of weeks and then you can start calling or emailing them. It used to take between 5-7 months from receipt of file to interview, but seems things are speeding up. Good luck!

Hi Pari,

Since you are IR1/CR1 you won't be receiving a 'checklist' to send back or packet 3.

NVC will be scheduling your interview - you will continue to contact them about your interview date.

The fact that they have already forwarded your file to Montreal would indicate that they have already scheduled the interview one would think! Then again, who knows! As you probably already know they generally schedule Montreal interviews during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of each month.

As you know, my Husband had his interview last week, which was scheduled in January (NVC case complete on December 4th). I had a question about what they had stated in the interview letter, so I emailed MTL to see if they could check something - this was the reply:

"Unfortunately we aren't able to check just yet as our boxes of February appointments don't arrive until end of month.

Please email back last week of January and I will check for you. If you did send your police certificates to the National

Visa center then they would indeed be in your file".

So basically what I am thinking is the operator you spoke to didn't know what he/she was talking about. I would call NVC again and ask if they have set the interview date

I would most definitely call again today. I don't think the NVC forwards cases for IR1/CR1s until an interview has been scheduled. I hope you have an interview date! Please let us know! :)
