Hi everyone!

Just introducing myself as someone who has used the website as a good resource while trying to petition for my honey. I never really posted much before, as most of my questions were answered by the guides.

At the very least, I wanted to send a very big "thank you" to the community. When I read threads, everyone is anxious to help and very encouraging. It's something very rarely seen in online communities and very refreshing.

I'm hoping that we're in the final stretch of our I-129F petition, though her local embassy is in Ho Chi Minh City, which I've read here has a high scam-marriage rate. So I'm going into it as expecting we may have some bumps, but hoping for the best.

Up until now, the whole process has been very smooth and it was only possible because of this website. Thank you very much!

Our timeline so far:

Sep 18, 2007 - NOA1 - USCIS received I-129F package

Feb 07, 2008 - NOA2 - USCIS approved I-129F petition (Was told to expect to get approval in April!)

Feb 25, 2008 - Received letter from US State Department stating they are forwarding petition to HCM Consulate

Welcome to VisaJourney. The great thing about the Vietnam side of VJ is the continued board support from the number of experienced members that have already been approved through the US Consulate in HCMC. Best of luck on your journey.
