K1 approved :) what to do now?

Hey every body, I got great news :dance:. Got a call at home today while I was at work. My little bro picked up the phone and he was told that I got the visa. The person didn't give much details so I am little confused. I was in AP since october of 07 and after 5 months I get this call. So I got the visa yippy :).

Basically my question is what is the next step? Do I have to mail my passport to U.S embassy or should I take it to American express? Also with my passport what is the other stuff that I should take along? I am situated in Islamabad, PK. Quick responses and any help would be highly obliged.

from what I read abt Islamabad, you are to mail the passport and they mail it back with visa - as for details on the current situtation - they didnt let ur brother know abt any directions for you? PM MaryandMian, if you do not get your desired answers here, she is very knowedgable of Islamabad and can direct you, also if you call dos they may give you directions as to if you have to mail it in. Finally if nothing works, call the embassy and ask what you are to do when your visa is issued.

Don't do anything just bring your passport to the AMEX office and they will send it to embassey and will call you when your passport comes back with the visa in it.

Thanks for the the input guys but I just read the blue sheet (AP) that I was given on my interview day and it explains the whole thing. I have to mail my passport to U.S embassy (Islo) through any courier, probably through american express and once its gets the visa the U.S embassy will send it back to AX and then AX will call me so I can pick up my passport.

Me and my fiance are so happy that I got the visa :dancing: . I want to thank you every body that helped me out in this forum and wish all of you good luck in this journey. I'll be around to bother you guys so don't go any where :)

Thanks for keeping me in mind, indeed we have shared that pain of being hit by the disease but yes Insha-Allah the cure shall come my way

Get goin with the passport and hunt for cheap flights!

Me and my fiance will be living in San diego so I am assuming my p.o.e will be L.A, right? What do you guys think or does any body have any experience with the immigration officers out there. Are they harsh or easy going :innocent: and what questions do they usually ask? I just want to be prepared you know.

I submitted my passport to American express on the 28th of feb and now just waiting to get it back :) I wonder approxiamtely how long do they take to return the passport with the visa? After I get my passport back I will definetely start hunting for cheaper flights.
