hi joyce.nice to know you.

i was given a 221g form becoz the consul asked my husband to do a new affidavit of support and submit his 2007 w2.that was checked in the for 221g given to me.i hope to recieve my visa soon coz they kept my passport and let me pay the visa delivery fee.which is WE ARE HOPING that is a good thing and a good sign.

Hello bliss, my wife also received a MNL-IV-22 document request form with no documents requested. My wife was put on AR because the document verification was not completed even though it was paid on January 7th and text verified by DELBROS. Wednesday will be onee month since her interview.

The form does mention Section 221g near the top but is used for requesting more evidence or documnents. The 221g form most VJers speak of is the one that informs the applicant the visa has been denied and the petition is being returned to the US.

so it means that my petition was returned to the USA?:blink::blink:

Hi Bliss,

I believe I am on AR, too. After the interview, I was given a white paper that says "unable to complete the processing of your immigrant visa application (under Section 221(g) of the INA) until you present the following documents.....". The window 37 guy said my documents are complete but some are for verification. They are referring to my BC and CENOMAR. I did not pay the docs verification fee prior to my interview date, so I am expecting a 4 to 6 weeks delay. I was given a pink slip also and was instructed to pay visa delivery fee of Php165 and Php650 for docs verification. Docs verification is part of the process, so it is a must for future interviewees to pay at least 2 weeks before interview date. Anyone who were not given a white paper is presumed to be a Go for visa release. It is my understanding that if they return all your documents including your PASSPORT, It is deemed an outright denial. For as long as they kept the passport and further instructions were given, the application will be processed. How long? It varies depending on the case and the consul.

hello :)

so who will be the one who's gonna check/review our papers?

is it the same consul who interviwed us? I presume its the same consul who interviewed you.

about the document verification,i paid delbros logistics 2 weeks before my interview date but till the day of my interview, the embassy personl told me that they havent recieved my verification yet :( i wish you to have your visa soon..lets wait and hope for the best :)I'm sorry I don't know about payment to Delbros logistics. They posted here about specific instructions on when and where to pay. You may refer to 4.5 Document Verification Manila Embassy K1 Guide posted 5.19.07. (I don't know how to attach a website) You may call Delbros at 339-2761 ask for Ms. Allen or Arvie.

I don't think your papers will be sent back to the USA. You have an approved IR petition and is illegible for a visa, pending satisfaction of the consul who interviewed you.

Thanks and I wish you get done with your additional requirements. USEM will review your case as soon as you submit the documents. I suggest you read the pinned topics. I was interviewed Feb 8 but I only discover this site Feb 23. Its not too late though, this is a long but exciting journey. Getting a visa is just a beginning.

I know of a few who got the same results bringing the "white paper" home, and told them the same thing. Delbros messing up is what worried me before but I paid my verification fee on Feb 1 and they told me they have forwarded the request to NSO on Feb 4. Going to the interview is probably the most exciting part of my and my fiance's visa journey. How ironic that I brought so much evidence of our relationship (a whole bag!!) and expected so many questions but with the pre-screening, the woman on Window 18 only asked me my:

1. NBI

2. Birth Cert

3. CENOMAR

4. Pictures? (heck it was a big album so she said, never mind! just show them to the consul)

From my fiance, his:

1. Original Affidavit of support

2. ITR photocopy

3. W2 photocopy

And on the second interview, the consul merely analyzed my papers, asked me how we met and when, and didn't even ask for the pictures. Then he said "Congratulations, your visa has been approved. Welcome to the United States! You can wait outside for your name to be called."

Sweet!
