Just be careful and keep aware of your surroundings.

Wow, scary area for Americans. :unsure:

I spent plenty of time there. I never felt in any danger whatsoever, was always treated very well by anyone we interacted with. In fact I felt much safer there than in Cebu City or Manila. This is not the part of Mindinao you really have to worry about.

Of course I have spent a good part of my life running around the south side of Chicago and Gary Indiana so I can smell trouble a mile away and have learned how to pay attention to my surroundings. I think even the worst areas in the Philippines are much safer than your typical American inner city. :blink:

November 6, 2007 --- Package received at CSC signed for by V SEMEGI

November 14, 2007 --- NOA1 Date

November 19, 2007 --- NOA1 Hardcopy I-797 received in the mail

March 10, 2008 ---- Touched

March 13, 2008 ---- Touched

March 14, 2008 ---- Touched

March 20, 2008 ---- Touched ( I guess approved but no update on website or email?)

March 25, 2008 ---- Noa2 hard copy received in the mail Dated March 20, 2008

March 31, 2008 ---- NVC Received our File-- Assigned case #

May 8-9, 2008------ Medical (approved)

Wow, scary area for Americans. :unsure:

I feel safer in GenSan than in the Bronx or Brooklyn.

I have a lot of friends that say the same thing but it is still one of the more unsafe places for Americans so recommend you keep that in the back of your mind all the time. Heck, we were told to watch what we were doing when we were visiting in Iligan. :unsure:
