I went to my then fiance's home to have a wedding party for her side of family. Then we returned together to USA. Its a good thing to meet with her family at that time and assure them she will be ok with you and will keep close contact to them. I think its hardest on the parents to see their child go so far away. Then you can save money and make the trip back to visit once a year. Besides who won't want to go to Boracay woah.

Upon reaching a poe you and her will separate to different lines, and she maybe a while in a separate room before meeting you on other side where you can collect lugggage.

So I don't think us guys can be of much help, I just waited 2.5 hours.

Still its good to have a cell phone handy and stick nearby in terminal so that if they were to call you you would be available.

If you want her to get the 90 day work EAD permit stamp entitled to fiance visa apllicant then make the arrival at JFK airport in NYC. I recommend to get it and so she can work at a mall at least so she dont go nuts.

Good Luck.

She will have someone to help carry the baggage and I am sure she will appreciate that...

YMMV

I entered the US on Feb23 at JFK. Honestly, I don't think your presence would help your fiancee a lot. If her English is not that good, I'm sure the officers in the aiport will assist her. I had NO problems with anything. The only thing is that the guy forgot to put the EAD stamp in my passport, so I had to ask him to do it. For me, the whole thing took less than 30minutes. I understand that this experience can be intimidating especially for people who don't fly into the US a lot, and I totally undersrtand the frustration of some American fiances after they are separated from their SO at the port of entrance, but there is absolutely nothing there for you to worry about. They are not rude or anything, just doing their job. I was so happy to be back to the US after the eight months my fiance and I had spent apart, that those few minutes at the customs were of no problem for me. I was so happy to be home again, so nothing else mattered :D ! I'm sure your fiancee will feel the same excitement :) ! Congratulations guys, and good luck :) !
