Nothing happening here. It's suppose to rain from now until Wednesday or Thursday. I'm mentally prepping myself for Tamer's moping. He gets really depressed when it rains and there's no sun out. I can't imagine how bad he'll get with 5 days of no sun. *eek* must find sun lamp asap!

This is probably a dumb suggestion... but does he like watching movies? Can you plop him down in front of some "sunny" films? I kinda know how he feels and that's what I do. Just escape it for a little while.

This is probably a dumb suggestion... but does he like watching movies? Can you plop him down in front of some "sunny" films? I kinda know how he feels and that's what I do. Just escape it for a little while.

Unfortunatly, his movie watching tastes all tend towards the horror side, and are as such, very very dreary. But, perhaps I can find some that are more lighthearted. Interesting idea, thanks

It's Fiesta here in San Antonio (think really BIG block party that goes on for 10 days) so my designated duty today involves being at one of the parades all day

Yes.... me and 299,999 other San Antonians will be lined up along Broadway and other downtown streets to watch The Battle of Flowers Parade... and tomorrow night is an even better one (cause it's at night) -- the Fiesta Flambeau Parade. Here's a pic from a couple of years ago....

Friday, Friday, Friday...nothing interesting here.

Good news is we got our bonus at work, lol, but it's already been sent off to pay bils. I had another frustrating week with Amman embassy and the NVC. My paperwork was supposed to ship on April 6 according to them, but I don't see anything in the DHL records. I've send 2 emails to Amman and no response. I forgot to put the case number in the subject line on the first one, so I sent another. Nothing, I think I might call, does anyone know their days? I know they are closed Friday, any other days? Its not on their website.

Quiet day at work, my assitant is gone so I'm all alone. I'm going to the movies tonight, I have to see Flight 93. I know its controversial right now, but I gotta see it. Some people think its too soon for this movie but I disagree. Those brave people died and their story should be known. I know it will be sad, I already brought a box of kleenex with me to take to the movies. I prepped myself for it, I saw the one they put on A&E a couple of months ago, I figure if I can handle that, than I can see this one. I cried alot.

Nothing else going on really, Rahma, we just got over 6 weeks of non-stop rain in norhern cali, so I know exactly how u feel. Its been sunny now for a week and it still feels like a dream

Noura - your breakfast sounds better than mine. I miss my espressos! I gave up coffee for the Easter Lent, and I came to work this last Monday, made my espresso bcz I missed it so much. I had the worst case of the shakes ever! My heart was pounding sooooo loud My body is not used to it anymore and now I need to decide if its worth getting used to again.

Well I tried to post at lunch, but I was home to have lunch with Abdel and he gets so jealous of VJ! He came over and started kissing me and turning my face away from the monitor. It's not like I could tell him I'd rather read VJ than kiss him so I just shut it off.

he's out fishing with my brother tonight so I can start studying for finals. Only 180 pages of economics to read this weekend - wheee, I'm so lucky!

So, I would be thrilled that it's Friday, except for what I have to look forward to the next 2 days.

But, I do have next week to get excited about. Monday night after work we drive to Charleston, get a room, find the fingerprint office, enjoy a relaxing dinner out (anybody have any restaurant suggestions there?) and then get to bed early so we can be up early for fingerprints.

Work was ok today, just more trying to get caught up.

Whew I'm glad this day is over. The empire of the evil yellow folders has been conquered yet again! Yeah me! Now for a relaxing weekend. Ahhhhhhh....

Jean, you just made me laugh out loud. The evil folders for me are red (so we won't lose them in the pile on our desks) and I never get through them all. The girl that sends them to me has to call and tell me I have all her red folders so she can't send over any more until I send some back.

I didn't even finish unpacking at work yet. I still have about 20 boxes left sitting in front of my desk to tackle next week. Right now I'm at the top of way too many people's sh*t lists I'm sure, so I'm just trying to finish stuff based on how long it's been on my desk, or how much trouble the person I owe it to can get me in. The unpacking gets left for while I'm waiting for the computer to move to a new screen.

I hope my boss hurries up and hires my replacement! I want so bad to start doing the new work he has for me, but I can't even think about it until someone else can do at least part of what I'm doing now.

Lucky you Jean that you can actually win the battle of the folders some times, I'm so jealous!
