Hi VJ Friends,

I am new to this forum and I just received the NOA1 for my fiance in the Philippines. I know there is a long way to go in the process

but when would be the best time to visit her. Since the visa might be issued some time after her interview, is it better to wait until after the interview or

maybe just go sometime in the middle so the wait will not seem so long? Just curious as to what most people are planning to do. BTW this site is awesome. :help:

Hi there!

It would really be nice if you will visit your fiancee while you wait for the approval of your petition. I believed she would really be happy if you do so. My fiance visited me again two weeks ago and we spent our Valentine's week together. The time we spent was awesome. It gave us the opportunity to get to know more of each other face to face. The joy we felt was overwhelming. Parting was quite difficult, but, his presence and the time we shared even just for a week compensated all the pain I felt when he went back home.

Also, your frequent visit I guess would be a plus during her interview.

Good luck! Visit her ASAP!

You can always go back to the Philippines as long as you want. More than one visit to see your fiancee is always an advantage as it proves strong and bona fide relationship. If you got the money, go fly while waiting for your approval to make the wait much enjoyable and then come back again and be with your fiancee during her interview.

Since your process will be a few months, it's nice to go in the middle. I did and it was well worth it. The Consulate will like it too. :)

I agree with the long process its nice to go again in a few months. I went to see my fiance in the Philippines in September 2007 and just got back from going the 2nd time from Jan 28th to Feb 15th so we could spend our first Valentines day together. It was nice because I surprised her and arrived 3 days earlier then I told her. I called her from my US cell phone after I arrived (so she would see my US number on her cell phone) and told her I had ordered her something from a store there in a mall and she had to go pick it up. I had already talked with the employees in the store to help surprise her. When she arrived to pick up the gift I walked up behind her and kissed her neck. It was amazing to see her beautiful smile when she relized I was there to see her when she thought I was still in the United States. I might be going back again for her interview but depends on her interview date. If you are staying in Makati or Manila area I have a great contact for condos to rent next to Greenbelt in Makati. I have been there 5 times and its a great location and very safe. Goodluck everyone

One question that is ALWAYS asked is how many times you've met!!

Holds BIGTIME weight at the USEM interview if you've made multiple visits.

Better yet is to go to the interview with her.

Yeah lots of ppeps have pulled it off only making one visit.

I DIDN'T and was denied the first time around.

More ammo the better!!!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

He gave me choices:

1st - He will come back in 3 months after his last visit.

2nd- Come back in Phils when I will have a sched for medical and interview at the Embassy.

We are still on NOA2 and I miss him terribly but wants him to be with me during the medical and interview and if God willing we will be granted with a visa then we can fly together to States. So then I guess I will just have to settle with chatting and seeing him on webcam.

I think you can discuss it with her....ask what she prefers.

Depending on your budget and ability to take time off from work, if you could only go once. Be there during the interview. Or go twice with one of the times being part of the interview process.
