Hi all.....

we did not send any files for K-1 yet ...we decided we will marry in June in Tennessee when I go there for vacation again...so we will do the K-3 process.....I will go back then to Germany....is there any paperwork we have to do already when Iam still there?

How long will it take until I can return to the US to stay with my Love permanent?

Thanks for your soonest reply....

It would be best to fill out the G325A (4x) and leave them with your then-hubbie. Also take a birth certificate, germany offers certified international ones, and leave it with him to send.

Well, actually, leave 2x the 4 Pages of G325A and make another copy of the birth certificate, as you will need to submit an I-130 before the I-129F for K3.

Also, as soon as you have to marriage certificate, you can submit the petition even while you are still there. As long as you are gonna leave eventually, that is!

You'll need to know the birth dates and places of your parents, so if you need to verify anything, it's best to do it while you're still in Europe. Also, at some point, you'll be asked about your vaccination records, so you may want to start going through old papers. When we did our photographs, I wish I'd asked for lots more prints, because beyond the bios for the I-130 and I-129F, you'll need two more (of the foreign spouse) for the package that goes to the interview. And in Canada, I understand it's possible the medical doctor may want 5 more. Not sure if this is true or if it applies to Germany.

I married in Europe and expected it to be a quick thing but everything was delayed because I needed to have apostiles and certains papers from the states. If you were married before you need proof of the previous marriage being either terminated by death or divorce records. Then I had to go to the embassy to have them sign yet another paper stating i was free to marry.Just make sure you have everything you need.GOOD LUCK!
