Hi guys.

I have gotten together my AOS interview package.

It includes all the things they ask you bring on the form

I have the receipts from all the AOS files we sent, a copy from the medical form we had to send in, all our birth certificates and photos, and letters to each other and joint lease for proof of ongoing relationship. I have my passport, EAD SSN and wife's SSN

One thing i don't have is the original package (AOS) we sent in. I sent it in before discovering this site (i have to update my timeline and I will) and I did not make a copy of it.

My interview is in LA. Will they have my AOS package I sent to chicago? This is my one concern, because I have none of the original Package I sent in.

I hope someone can help me with this.

Thanks in advance

Matt

They should have it. Do you remember what documents you sent in besides the obvious (ie the marriage certificate)? You have sent in copies, so if you can recall what you sent, try to get the originals to bring with you as well. You could also print out another blank copy of the form and then fill it in as a 'working copy' . You should be able to remember what you wrote the first time, and even the 'after the fact' copy may help you recall some information that will be of use during the interview. They won't be asking to see your copy - it is mainly for your own convenience. In addition to what you submitted with the AOS application, I am assuming you have other documents from the time that you got married to show you have created a life together - sharing assets and responsibilities, finances and a home? Your objective is to reassure them that yours is indeed a real marriage rather than a marriage of convenience. Good luck.

What I'm concerned about is the forms themselves, the I-130, I-485 etc, and the affidavit of support with all the tax info. The interview form says to bring them in (UNLESS ALREADY SUBMITTED) so I haven't been too woried

I have the marriage certs, and all that stuff.

I am just nit picking, as I am nervous :)

Btw, thankyou for your reply, god bless you for being so quick.

If you have copies of the financial documents submitted (ie tax returns, etc.) you might want to bring those. At the very worst, if they require something and you don't have it, they will give you an RFE for it and you can then get it and send it in again. They won't deny you for not having the originals with you. Good luck.

I just been down that road.... it is stressfull..... but after the interview I felt free and I wonder why I had allow that interview to do that to me. That is just human ....

You know all the informations....it is your history with your wife.

You will be fine....

I had all the copies and pictures.... but I could not remember my first born date of birth and my deceased father-in-law first name.

I kindly ask for few minutes so that I could think.... and I remenber..... The funny thing is my second son middle name is my father-in-law first name.

I was approved,

U will be fine... let us know once you are back home.
