My fiance had his K-1 interview yesterday, we don't know if we are granted a visa or not. He said the lady didn't ask him anything nor said anything except 'your medical report is good which was expected from a doctor' (my fiance is a doctor). And then she made him raise his right hand and said seems like everything is fine you will be notified in mail, pay the courier fee at the counter.... Does that mean we have gotten a visa or will they notify us of a decesion in mail???? she didnt' say "congratulations you are approved" or 'welcome".

Dont worry, it means you have got the visa - I am assuming they kept the passports so it will be delivered with the Visa's in the next few days.

Yes, they kept his passport. I heard they deliver visa via courier the next day, but we didn't get anything yet ....more worried

Dont panic - the US Embassy site actually says it can take 4-5 days for the couriered stuff to arrive for non-immigrant visas tho I havent heard of a K1 taking that long. Most usually get to the applicants home address within 2 days.

Applied for K1

Met online 2001 - just aquaintances

Sept 2002 - 1st US visit - everything goes perfectly.

Dec 20th - Forms recev'd at CSC

Dec 27th - NOA1 received by snail mail!

Dec 29th - 'Touched'

March 10 2006 - NOA2!

March 23 - recv'd at NVC

March 24 - petition sent to London

April 9th - Pkt 3 rec'd!

May 17th - Pkt 3 signed for at London Embassy

May 24th - Medical

May24th - Pkt 4

June 14th - Interview 10am - APPROVED 1pm!!

June 16th - Visas received in my hot little hands 1pm :)

July 19th - flying to US!

July 27th - Married!! :-)

Aug 7th - Applied for SSN in married name

Aug 9th - SSN received

They need to say to people you're approved! James got the same thing but he asked if he was approved and she said yes. Sounds to me like you are; they wouldn't have asked you to pay the courier fee if they weren't going to return your passport with a visa! I think if there is a denial they give you a form explaining it. Congrats! :)
