I got an e mail today AOS aproved card production orderd ,took 76 days in total from when we mailed the application , a lot faster then K1 process

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a ride am so drilled and wow omg I cant belive it its almost over yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh :D:):):)

 

129f for K1 visa filed in march 07 check my timeline for full info

03 March 2008 , received welcome letter and 2 year GC yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh

22 NOV 2009 to lift condition GC expires 22 Feb 2010

24 Nov 09 send in I 751 ( ROC , in VT )

25 Nov 09 Your item was delivered at 12:10 PM in SAINT ALBANS, VT 05479 to INS .

30 Nov 09 Check Cashed

21 Dec 09 biometric

On March 9, 2010, we ordered production of your new card.

12 March 2010 received approval letter in mail

16 March 2010 10 year Green Card received in mail exp date March 09 / 2020

April 14/2017 send N400 

04/25/17 credit card charged 

04/25/17 e mail NOA send 

05/01/17 hard copy of NOA dated 04/25 received in mail

05/06/17 biometric hard copy in mail

Thats so awesome for you. I see your local office is Boston. Mine will be boston too as that is where my baby lives. We are lucky as i live in Nova Scotia so we can see each other frequently as its only an hour plane ride. I love boston it reminds me of here abit.

First met in Canada, Sept 22, 2006 <3

September 2006 to March 2008, 11 visits, 5 in Canada, 6 in NJ

Officially Engaged December 24th, 2007!!!

Moved to the U.S. to be with my baby on July 19th, 2008 on a K1 visa!!!!

***10 year green card in hand as of 2/2/2012, loving and living life***

Hmmm maybe we should move back to Canada! lol smile.png

Made that trip from Halifax to Boston (and on to DC) many of a time!!

Congrats LonA.C

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

thank you everyone , oh man am just on cloud 9 yeahhhhhhhhhh

oh maratimer , yes my local office was Boston , but since I live pretty close to the CT ( connecticut,)border they send me to a ASC office in CT for the biometrics only 45 min drive to hartford instead of almost 3 hours to boston <

and I was transferd to CIS wich in my case ( as well as WIZ and so many others who get transferd usualy meens aproval without interview )

and to my understanding transfers usualy happen when the local office got a big backlog , so when your time comes I hope for you to get a transfer too , wish you and everyone still in process good luck and never give up dreams do come true :)

Yep - got the same email as Lona...the GC has been ordered!! 3½ months since the day I entered the US and exactly 2 months since receiving our NOA's for AOS/EAD and AP.

I was also transferred and therefore no interview! I may actually begin to like this place a little more.

Congratulations Lona! Now you get to join the nervous CPR club. I am terrified that I am going to miss the filing date to remove conditions. I mean, seriously..... I can barely remember something from one room to the next.... let alone one YEAR to the next. Sheesh.

Yep - got the same email as Lona...the GC has been ordered!! 3½ months since the day I entered the US and exactly 2 months since receiving our NOA's for AOS/EAD and AP.

I was also transferred and therefore no interview! I may actually begin to like this place a little more.

Oh wow, look at that! Udella's been approved too!!!! What a day. Congratulations Udella!

AWWWWWWWW whatcha tryin to do scare me before I even got the card in my hands , ??? lol

well ok how I see it since they aproved my card now , it should be pretty easy to remember I know we have to fill 90 days before second anerversary of recieving GC , so if I file about 2 weeks before my 2nd marriage anervasary wich will be 1 Dec 2009 ,( almost 3 month before 2nd anervasary to GC recival ) that should work right ?
