OMG!!! did he tell u about it or did he do it with his snowblower right out in plain sight? The nerve of some ppl... and I thought pineapples were bad!!!

sara..I'm gonna come over one of these days and cover those babies cheeks in kisses. (and of course, hang out with you too). That baby is just too dang cute!

Jackie, don't tempt me. I'm going thru snow withdrawl symptoms so severe that I'm thinking about buying bags of ice and crushing them all over my kitchen so I can make a snow man...u think it would work??? Turn the air conditioner on to like 30 degrees oh yeah.... then cuddle up with some hot chocolate and argeelah to boot...*drool* That almost made my day worthwhile, thinking about that....

i found out that i got a parking ticket in front of my house cuz of the snow, since when can they issue tickets when it hasnt been declared a snow emergency i always receive a phone call with an automated response saying, snow emergency, plz move your vehicles off the street. There was no phone call fromt he city!! well, im not paying the ticket!

What kills me the most is that when i was pulling out of my driveway, i thought about moving my truck off the street and pulling it into the driveway but i said to myself, it will be fine, just a little snow. i refuse to pay the ticket!

They put up signs this year that say "Vehicles must be moved from the street if 2 inches or more of snow is expected" I made my son go move his car last night to avoid that very thing. How much is the ticket?

i dont know yet, i told my husband to throw it away, cuz Im not dealing with it...lol

there are no signs posted on our street to remove vehicles for 2 inches of snow, this happened to me once about 6 years ago, we had winter storm and this was inthe MIDDLE of the night and they had already ticketed my truck, i was pi$$ed cuz this was done in the middle of the night, i took it upon myself and not did anything about it and nothing has been said. I guess I'm a parking fugitive now

They don't call us nor do they post signs. What they do is let off a siren like they emit when there is going to be a huge tornado and they want you to take cover.

my neighbor has a tractor with a blade - he pushes the snow on the driveway, and i shovel his sidewalk for it.

after seeing elwalk's post I called dos for the second time this week and got Erica. She is VERY nice and helpful and she told me that although they used to put notes in the computer in Cairo they stopped doing this because operators were telling people what the notes said which isn't really allowed AND family members who work there were giving out super secret info. lol. I guess that explains why our info lately has been so general.

She also said that because the employees of the embassy are American they can't go everywhere that Egyptians can so they have to wait for trusted Egyptians (i'm thinking private investigators or something) to go to places such as the police stations, etc. to verify the reports. Seems stupid to me that they even ask for these reports if they dont' take them at face value but whatEVER. At least that explains why it takes so very long I guess for some of us. Why some of us are targeted at the interview and some are not is a wildcard still for me but I'm not gonna get grey wondering about it anymore. C'est la vie.

Now that's interesting. Cairo has delayed people for months for things like that movement certificate.

Well today has not been unfolding as it was suppose to be. I took off today because I was suppose to take the man that is like my father to the hospital to have an angieogram and they called and cancelled it because the hospital doesn't have enough beds. So I had to come to work. On the bright side of things it is slow since I was suppose to be off and I got to sleep in and my 2nd job was cancelled because of this test so hopefully i can relax and rest and kick this cold.
