I just found it funny that the same ppl that disaprove of vaginal enhancement approve the right to choose.

I think you're comparing apples to oranges here. One involves a choice to get relatively minor cosmetic surgery and the other weighs in on the pro's and con's of abortion, bringing a new life into the world, changing your life, the lives of your loved ones and everything you knew. It's quite different, I'd say.

Well every woman should be doing kegals! The vaginal muscle is like any other muscle in your body and needs to be maintained and strengthened for the betterment of your body. Any woman who has had children or is up in age will tell you to DO YOUR KEGALS!! The whole rejuvenation thing....I didn'f google this but I'm assuming its a tightening. Well if thats needed then its needed...but if you do your kegals early on in life you probably won't need it.

The va-jay-jay, is more than just for fun people. Seriously why would you not want to keep it "tight". I go to the gym and tone the rest of my body, why wouldnt I want to tone that part too. I've been kegaling since I was a kid...thats right a kid. Ever since I heard that you could pee your pants if you didn't have strong enough muscles...so what did I do...kegal. Had nothing to do with the naughty naughty. Until recently this whole rejuvenation thing has come about. My two sisters are nurses...one an RN the other a midwife and they will go up and down the street yelling at woman about doing their kegals....it seriously will help you "snap back", and keep you from having to wear Depends later in life.

Relatively minor? Abortion is a straight up call. The problem with your answer is that it's all about you and family, nothing about the life your takin. But then rationalisation and justification does come into it. Excuses for it are simple. Facing it is another.Excuses are simple and a way out of guilt. Your concious will be with you forever no matter what you say here.

You didn't even read what I wrote, did you? Not carefully, anyway. That doesn't surprise me.

Allow me to spell it out for you: the "relatively minor cosmetic surgery" I was speaking of the vaginal tightening. That is, in the grand scheme of surgical procedures, relatively minor. If you don't think so, I'd suggest you speak to someone who's recently had a triple-bypass or a hip replacement and see what they have to say about it.

As for my answer... yes, it is "all about my family and I." Why shouldn't it be? I don't care what you do (so long as it doesn't affect my family or me in any adverse way). It's none of my business. I don't have the right to interfere with your life, just as you don't with mine. My family, however, is my concern and if something -- abortion or some other issue -- may be a potential problem, then you can bet we'll deal with it as we see fit as a family; not how others may wish us to in their place.

If that bothers you, then so be it. Your complaint has been noted and filed. Next? B)

I agree with you on your point. There were some on this thread saying that getting a tightening was ridiculous. All the while in their previous posts they were for abortion. I just dont get the logic.

I think it's ridiculous to market tightening of the vaginal area as a cosmetic procedure - fair enough if you have a medical problem that requires surgery down there but why on earth would you want to have surgery to tighten it up otherwise? Surely exercises would make more sense if there is no medical need?

I don't have a problem with people wanting to keep themselves toned and to prevent / repair damage in that area, but I'm concerned by the continuing trend towards trying to keep the female body in a 'perfect' state... personal choice is one thing, but I'd hate for women to feel pressured into something like this because they may be deemed less attractive sexually just because things are a little looser post-childbirth.

I guess you're talking to me then. Did I say that vaginal tightening should be illegal? Sometimes people think things are ridiculous or would never consider doing something for themselves, yet they don't think that other people's right to choose it should be taken away. Can you follow that logic?

And for the record, I also don't "approve" of abortion. That doesn't mean I think it should be illegal.

Of course, I'm not sure why I even bother. *sits back and waits for rantings about dems or hypocracy or some such nonsense*

Exactly. I don't think it should be illegal, but I would hate for someone to feel like she had to in order to keep her husband interested in her.

Training the muscles "down there" is always good but the best way to do it is actually to have orgasms ;) "Hubby, come help me with my pelvic floor exercises" works every time, but if not you can always go for Smart Balls (fun factory's smart balls), they feel funny but does work without you having to do squat ;)

Leave the reconstructive surgeries to the unfortunates with prolapsed uteruses, uteri whatever you call them in plural.
