We got some news finally. The interview date is scheduled for June 24th. Feels really far away. But not much I can do about that. Just happy to finally have a date. Looking forward to having the ability to plan with something more concrete in place. But I may still wait to buy the ticket when he has his visa.

C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S !!!!!!!!!:dance::dance: Time is really moving, hard to believe we are about to go into the third month of the year already. June will be here in no time!!!! Hang in there and just concentrate on preparing the documents. I remeber being relieved that all my work was over with getting those documents together. I was happy to know it was my honeys time to start jumping thru the hoops of gathering peperwork!!!!! :)

Thanks! Well, this portion is really in Bassi's court and he's feeling pressured. So last night, we talked a bit and I told him to take a couple of days and then go back to it. He hasn't been feeling the stress that I have here, because he was only aware of what I told him about. Which I realize now, wasn't much. They gave him the packet which asked for both the I-864 and the I-134. So, I've got to complete the I-864 and add it to the stuff I was going to mail. Does that have to be notarized? The packet also asks for pictures both the old immigration way and the passport way. So, I guess we'll do five each way. Crazy!

We did our K-1 through Liberia and they asked for a notarized I-864. I was caught off guard because I had been expecting the I-134. In fact, I was convinced that they sent us the wrong instructions and I actually sent both, lol. It turns out that they really did want the I-864, but it all worked out in the end.

Thank you for sharing that. I'm going to send both and then he'll have whichever they ask for at the interview. It's not that hard and my friend at work is notarizing everything for me without a hassle anyway. So I'll just print one out. I think it's best to err on the side of excess. I'll give them everything I can think of and anything they ask for just to get Bassi HERE!

My apologies, Bassi and Zainab. I get you and Zee mixed up all the time! My bad. :bonk:

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

No problems! I knew what you meant. We get mixed up on Sub-Saharan a lot. But we don't take offense and usually know which one is being referred to.

I mean I think we don't take offense. Right Zee? I know I'm always off in the middle of the fray and Zee is off on the sidelines keeping the peace, but I'm working on my argumentative spirit.

Thanks!

Im also working on my argumentative spirit, as well. I hate to make excuses for my behaviour, but this AP sometimes brings out the worst in me. Some days I am rejoicing and basking in the Spirit, so full of positive hope, then I have those down spells where Im in the pit of dispair, angry and just in a foul mood. I cry a lot, but it never helps.

I read that crying helps to clear chemicals out of your system to boost your mood eventually.

Oh My gosh, toooooo funny! You would think they would have learned by now.

Yes, Sister O, I think you told me that before, but I had forgotten that. But the truth be known, all crying does is make my sinus' go haywire.

It makes me feel like a sissy. I want to discipline myself and stop with the tears, but oh it is hard to do !

I wish I could control my tears too. I know what you mean. I got so upset at work one day, I started crying. I was sooooo angry that I couldn't stop myself. I couldn't stop the tears from crying. When there are tears, no one hears your words anymore, even if they are clear, concise and logical. In private, or in my personal life, I don't mind crying. I remember reading a book once and the author said that she felt free when she finally gave herself permission to "puddle" in the situation. Then you can just take the time to feel whatever you are feeling and move on.

It gets embarrassing in public. A few weeks ago I was in the hospital waiting to get a procedure done, and in the waiting room was a young man with his father. This young man was a spitting image of my SO. I could not help but stare. I almost called out his name. I felt he was so close, but I could not touch him. I began to sob. I turned my head so no would see, but I am sure a few people saw me. I have also boo hooed in the grocery store once down the frozen food isle.
