I got a weird letter regarding my husband's AOS. they are requesting 1864A....but i had submitted that along with the original packet. they are also putting his employment authorization on hold as well. who should i contact.... or should i just send it again....... ???

Send exactly what they requested, even if you have already sent them. Sometimes this happens, it happened to a friend of mine.

Make sure you send in I-864A (Agreement between sponsor and household member). Perhaps you are confusing it with I-864 Affidavit of Support?

No I did send in an I-1864 and an I-864A from my father. so would i have to send in another I-1864?

Did you tick the right boxes on the 864s? Did you put any other income on either 864? do they live in the same house?

IF you're 1000% sure that you did it right the first time, then I suppose send the same thing again with a letter explaning what you mean. But tell us which boxes got ticked first, just in case.

its a contract between household members, as I understand it.

So if person A is your sponsor, and they live with person B: If person A doesn't make enough cash to meet the guidelines, then A's form 864 would include B's income to make up the full amount, and then B would fill in an 864A to contractually join themselves into the deal

In your case I'm not sure - I'm not sure whether the term "household member" only means someone who shares the same physical location, or whether its a more abstract term defining an ecomonic dependancy. I'd wait until someone cleverer than me answers this thread
